Don't come here expecting htem to be flexible and help you. I booked this hotel through Priceline and didn't notice that they didn't reserve non-smoking rooms. I arrived at the hotel and was told I had a smoking room. When I asked if they had a non-smoking room I was told 'no'. A little bit later someone called looking for a room and the desk clerk offered them a non-smoking room, which they did not book. I then asked again if I could get that room and the clerk said it was not comparable. I offered to pay the difference, but he said he couldn't change it. Terrible customer sevice. The rooms themselves are just ok, nothing great. Small, a bit noisy, and ok cleanliness. I certainly won't be coming here again.

We have recently stayed at the super 8 motel and it was actually a very bad choice; As soon as you open the door you encountered a particular smell very bad we couldnt figure it out,but it was soo bad, next the room was small and hot there was something in the bed that kept biting us all night,on top of that they dont provide with fitted sheets, they just throw a couple of sheets on the bed and a blanket. and when we were ready to leave I talked to the front desk and expressed my dissapointment they were like" oh, ok I told them I was very sorry but will have to write a review about my stayed and they didnt even care, just like they dont care about anything else in that place but to charge you a good amount of money, So no..

I was very surprised at how pleased I was with my stay at this hotel, given the reviews I've read. While not fancy - it is a Super 8 after all - it was very good value. The location is convenient to Hwy101, UCSB, the airport, Goleta Beach, shopping, SB, and so forth; the staff was as friendly and helpful as one could hope for; the room was clean if basic; the pool was refreshing, clean and unused; and the breakfast was really a cut above (fresh pastries not wrapped in plastic, lovely real bagels, good coffee, etc.); free wifi with no password hassle (and when I couldn't connect, help with a computer at the front desk). While there is not a restaurant, there are plenty nearby. A very good job of being what it is - an honest, good value budget hotel with well trained, enthusiastic, professional, friendly staff (all staff I met). Negatives - there was some road noise at some times. Nice views of the mountains but nowhere really to sit to enjoy. The usual not brilliant towels, but adequate. It made an excellent base for my stay, and every interaction with the staff was a pleasure. I would definately, as a budget conscious traveller who can't stand cynical commerce and requires some amenities, stay at this hotel again for a trip to this area.

i've stayed at other super8s before and none of those have quality this poor. the washroom is spacious, however the shower stall is not made of glass doors, it's made of cement walls with a non- transparent shower curtain and there is NO LIGHT in the stall. so you cant see anything when you shower, it's dark. in which part of the world do you not need light to shower? the heat light in the washroom is not working. the heater in the room is way TOO LOUD. there are just two sheets to sleep with, there is no actual blanket in december. and it's impossible to sleep with the noise with the heater on. the fan in the washroom is very loud as well. this location is so close to airport as well so airplane noise is loud too. there is cable tv and internet, but i assume these things are already a must in hotels nowadays (so they dont compensate for the flaws mentioned above). overall this hotel is very bad, dont stay here if you dont absolutely have to.
