The Hilton Garden Inn provides an exceptional level of service for corporate and business meetings. Everything is available to make any business event a success. On-site restaurant with varied menus fits every budget and every taste. Our Board retreat was a perfect example: projector, screen, room set-up with table skirting, easels, podium, and more. Another bonus with this hotel property is that there is no parking, and the transit occupancy tax is one of the lowest in the region. Rooms are all nicely appointed, and the hotel staff is professional and ready to accommodate at a moment's notice. Another plus: Gilroy Premium Outlets is less than 10 minutes away.

My family was on a northern California Trip and we had to stay in Gilroy because it made the drive to Fresno not as long. We stayed here at the Hilton Garden Inn Gilroy and it was honesty not too luxurious for the the name Hilton. If you are Hilton Honors members like we are I would not stay at this hotel because they do not honor all of the benefits that you should receive. For example this hotel makes it very difficult for Hilton Honors members to get free breakfast. The rooms are not very flattering by all means and the AC system does not work properly like it should lets just say the AC system has a mind of it's own. The rooms are not so bad so don't worry about not being able to sleep comfortably if you get stuck staying here. The breakfast is decent, but don't drink the milk because it's kept in a glass container laid on ice which probably isn't a good idea to drink. The staff is not too friendly so don't expect them to roll out the red carpet for you when you arrive haha. The hotel is close to decent shopping and grocery stores though.

We've stayed here twice in the past year. The rooms are nice. The beds are comfy. The breakfast buffet has lots of options, even cook-to-order items. The staff have been friendly and helpful. There is a pool and hot tub, work-out area and business center. I would say it is the nicest hotel option in Gilroy.

This hotel has aspirations to be 3 stars and above but its service (and boring and deficient decor) is worth zero stars. The glummest most zombie-like people staff the counter and breakfast buffet service, to include the cook. I believe even actual robots would display more zip, personality and warmth. The only staff person who showed a shred of human kindness and civility got in the elevator with us. She appeared to be one of the housekeepers. She was nice, made actual eye contact with us (unlike the others), and wished us a "good morning" in a genuine way. Why do they not hire other real people like her?! Other detractions: Extremely lumpy bed comforter, as if it had been washed badly numerous times, hotel location not in walking distance to any restaurants and eating establishments except for one that closes at 7 pm. We received a very good "senior" rate and a large room, but our window looked directly onto the rooftop central heat/air unit that was (logically) roaring all day and night, but why is the equipment not kept to its own corner away from guest rooms with the machine noise more muffled??? Not a welcoming hotel in any way -- we will not return.
