“Room are a Solid Garde C!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 February 2012

This hotel had mixed reviews and for the vacationer who is spending their time at Disneyland the price and mediocre room quality may not be an issue. For a frequent business traveler, the rooms in this hotel are only average.
The rooms are large enough, have flat-screen TV, and are quiet.
They also have mold in the showers, wall-paper that is starting to peel away from the walls, and the LUMPIEST pilllows I have ever had at any hotel. The fact that most reveiws ignore the bad pillows is impressive to me--what do you normally sleep on--a bag of rocks! The mattresses are older and need to be replaced--they are only passable due to the thick mattress pad. The bedspreads are the multi-colored, quilted, germ-magnets that most higher end hotels have moved away from using.
When I saw the mold in the shower in my room I asked to look at another room (which was readliy accomodated by the front desk staff). Unfortunately, the shower in the second room had mold in the shower too!
The front desk staff is friendly and helpful. The banquet staff were responsive to requests for the meeting room and the meeting buffet was very good. Skip staying at the hotel though.

“Nice hotel - average staff.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 February 2012

Whilst there's nothing overtly wrong with this hotel, the staff are a terrible let down.

Stayed here for the 2012 NAMM show. Check-in side of things was quite smooth, I was quickly checked in and heading to my room. The room was large, air conditioned and comfortable. The bathroom was immaculately clean, the shower was of a good quality, with good water pressure and a constant temperature.

Self parking at the hotel is at the rear of the property and is free of charge, or valet parking is also available.

The bed in the room was comfortable and the free wifi access was a nice touch.

I made good use of the gym facilities at the hotel, which had a nice selection of equipment (cross trainers, treadmills, weights and free weights / benches). Towels were readily available and all common areas of the hotel were comfortable and clean. I found no reason to complain.

However, staff at this hotel are hit and miss at best. Breakfast was a shambles. It's a buffet type affair was cost me the best part of $20. It was average at best. Instead, I chose to walk across to the Marriott Suites next door and grab a coffee and snack at the Starbucks in their lobby. Much better value and frankly, tastier.

The bar was very small, with limited seating internally - as the weather wasn't great to sit outside. Service at the bar was terrible at every experience. If you could grab the attention of someone behind the bar (which was a challenge!), then the order was usually barked at someone else, in a different language and, if you were lucky, your drink was dumped in front of you with a grunt. The saving grace was that the hotel bar had a nice selection of continental beers - which made a nice change from the norm.

Service in the restaurant was also hit and miss. I only took lunch in the restaurant twice with colleagues and our orders were bought to us separately, language barriers were a challenge to getting the correct orders bought to the correct people and despite the place being nearly deserted during our time there, service was slow at best.

The actual hotel and it's facilities are very good. However, the service levels in the bars and restaurants are sadly lacking - meaning we all chose to eat and drink elsewhere, even if it was a social beverage or quick snack.

The price I paid was fair and I slept well - which could be argued is all that is important in a hotel stay. However, there is much to be done on the service side of things - which makes a good hotel great, especially when spending extended time there.

“Perfect location for veteran Disney visitor”

This is annual+ visit #12 for Mom and 9 year old boy. Every year we stay at a different hotel and this is now second only to JW Marriott ( iMarriott pool is BEST)

Pros- very safe. Very clean new hotel. One of nicer pools in Disney area. Right across from Target so able to walk over and load up on snacks for Disney and stock the rooms mini fridge. Biggest perk is free shuttle every 30 minutes . Much more efficient than ART. Parking is right next to hotel and anyone who says its a long walk is simply insane. You can't get any closer than hugging the hotel.
Free Wifi worked flawlessly.

Only con was that they forgot my wake up call on departure day.

“Good value for the prize!!!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 February 2012

We were there during the week of July 4th. Busiest time of the year and the hotel was fully booked and yet they managed to make it no hassle for the customer. Starting from the valet, front desk and concierge to the maid and cleaners, it was a well trained army of staff keeping the hotel run as smooth as hot knife in the butter.

Room was good and efficient. We had 2 queen bed and its adequate for the family of 4. The only thing is that one day out of 4 during our stay, elevators were all non-functional for about half an hour and we were on high floor. The restaurant and bar offer good value food.

Everybody was very helpful guiding us and offering tips for our trip to Disneyland.

All in all, it was very comfortable and no hassle stay.

Oh yes, all the restaurants at the walking distance from the hotel are great. There is a mall right in front of the hotel which helps with last minute necessities.
