“For us-good location”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 May 2012

We were visiting friends in Anaheim and this hotel was the closest one. It's an older hotel but it's renovated. It's also a conference center and that made noise for us when we were trying to sleep. I booked a very good deal with the Entertainment card and they gave me a room on the 4th floor near the elevator. I asked if there was another double room not close to the elevator and the reception told me this was the only double. I found that hard to believe but she assured me that it would be quite. It wasn't. There were young conventioneers walking through the hallways at late hours on the way to their rooms, talking loudly. This woke me up a few times. Also right outside our room was some sort of cement company or the like that made a lot of noise in the morning. There was a view of this and the parking lot from our window; pretty bad. The only thing I asked for when booking the room was that it be in a quite location...this didn't happen.
The room was clean and the housekeeping service was good. We were really only there to sleep. We never used the pool but it looked very nice.
We did have breakfast there one day. I wasn't feeling good ( and tired from the lack of sleep) so the $16.00 per person ( including tax) was not worth it for me. But I think if you would have checked in with a priority club rate it would have included breakfast. That is something to consider if you want breakfast there during your stay because the difference in the rates may make up for the breakfast charge.

Dear NJgirlonthego,

Thank you for your review and comments on your recent stayed with us. We do want to apologize for any inconveniences that you had during your stayed, especially, the noise on the 4th floor. 4th floor is our designated Quiet Zone. We will look into the noise issue on this floor. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

Our restaurant offers breakfast buffet from 6am to 930am for $13.95 per person and breakfast A La Carte from 6am to 11am. We do have packages deal that includes breakfast.

Breakfast is one of our local extra that we offered to certain level of Priority Club members. However, our local extras do change from time to time. Therefore, breakfast is not a guarantee local extra that priority club members get when they stay with us. We do apologize for the confusion.

Once again, we apologize for all the inconveniences and thank you for your review.

Sincerely,
Management

“Good hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 April 2012

Fairly good hotel.. Check in and check out was a breeze, came in late at night and left early in the morning. requested a pool view room so the noise from the freeway is not a problem once your hotel room door is shut. Room was modern looking and very sleek and excellent. TV was good, better than other hotels we stayed. Bathroom was alright. There is so much closet space. There is a small fridge, coffee machine in the room as well. The staff was nice. We had to pay extra for internet though but if you sign up for their loyalty program which the front desk agent Theresa told us, in our case we have been staying in Crowne Plaza's for a long time, the second night of internet was free. Housekeeping stayover service was good, cleaned our room well. There was a free shuttle to disneyland and the guy that drove us Geoffrey was very nice he cared to drive just two of us going to disneyland. All in all very good hotel if you just know the ins and outs.

Room Tip: Ask for a room that can't be disturbed by freeway noise sign up for loyalty program to have fre...

I'm back from a cold and dry northern state. This is the third time I stay at this hotel. Same front desk people check me in today, he takes only 2 minutes to check me in! The room is great and clean, I'm having the my dinner at their BAR. The steak is good, the price is OK.

“Plan to Pay Extra For Everything!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 April 2012

Arrived on business at the Crowne Plaza Fullerton for one night. This hotel is located next to the 91 Freeway, a busy traffic artery in Orange County. Be sure to request a pool view room or a room on the back if freeway noise bothers you. Good luck escaping noise, though, as this property is close to railroad tracks and a heavy truck storage yard with sounds from both evident day and night.

The exterior of the hotel looks dated. The parking lot is large with free parking. Check in took longer than normal with a staff member who seemed to be new and was unfamiliar with the hotel's computer system. The lobby is small and uneventful.

My room was clean and modern with a bed that was average in comfort. Bathrooms are small. The television was large with a wonderful picture.

The pool area was impressive with a large pool and a warm spa. Plenty of chairs are available for a small gathering or if you just want to lounge under the Southern California sun. Traffic noise can be heard from the pool area even though it is surrounded on four sides by the hotel.

Now for the downside:

First, when an inquiry was made regarding the location of the workout room at the hotel, front desk staff informed me that the exercise equipment was only available to Priority Club members who had access to the executive level floors. Frankly, I have stayed at dozens of hotels and this is the first time a hotel's exercise facility has not been open to all guests.

Second, be aware that guests have to pay for computer use and computer print outs in the business center. Most Holiday Inn Express and Hampton Inn hotels have complimentary business centers these days and it's not as if this Crowne Plaza is an exclusive property.

Finally, no newspaper was placed in front of my door in the morning. When I asked front desk staff where I could get a newspaper, they informed me that they were out. This was at 6:15 a.m.

This hotel needs to rethink what customer service is all about and develop an attitude of putting the customer first. The Crowne Plaza Fullerton is not recommended and no stays will be made here in the future.

Room Tip: I do not recommend this hotel but if you decide to stay, request a poolside room to escape the traff...

“Very Poor Manageemnt”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 April 2012

The staff at this property were helpful under the circumstances. However, they were understaffed. We were locked out of our room twice due to bad keys. When we had to have our room rekeyed at 11:30 at night we had to wait in the lobby for 45 minutes in line. Yes, there are indeed people checking in at 11:30 at night with ONE staff member there. He was hard working, but just ONE staff member is NOT enough for a property this size.

The room was nice, and the bed and pillow was outstanding. Housekeeping did not refill the coffee used on the first day, but overall was acceptable. The back door leading to the unmonitored and somewhat unlit parking lot (it is not in the best area of Orange County) was NEVER locked, next to the sign that said "This door will be locked 24 hours a day". Somewhat funny, until you understand that perhaps nobody's key would work on it 50% of the time. THe security guard with his untucked shirt did not really inspire confidence.

We won't be back to this property.

Room Tip: Don't use the random hotel chooser from Priceline: pay a few more and select your hotel. 3-4 sta...
