MCarlson, I am sorry that this event happened during your stay and the entire staff understands and shares your frustration.There have been vehicle breakins in this area over the last few months. It is not just at our property. The other hotels in the area are also having the same issue. Our staff has taken an agressive approach in letting our guests know to please not leave anything in their car because there have been breakins. No vehicles have been stolen. We have a security guard at night, signs are posted through out the parking lot advising guests to not leave anything in your car and to lock it. There is also a sign posted at the front desk advising guests of the same thing. We also verbally tell them at check in about this problem. Guests are also issued a parking pass so security is aware of who is authorized to be parked on the property.

We are doing everything we can to help prevent this from happening. But unfortunately people still leave items in the car. This does not happen every night but it does happen occassionally.

We are not nonchalaunt about this problem. We care very much that this is happening and try to do our best to prevent it. The Fresno Police Department will not respond to these calls. When the police department is called they refer the guest to make a report online. When we are made aware of the problem we advise the guest to make the report and we do help them to clean up the glass or do whatever we can do to make it easier for them. Again, it is as upsetting to us as it is to our guests.
