We are accustomed to staying at the Vagabond Inn in Glendale, Ca for business, and its always been nice, so we booked this on a recent trip to Fresno, we looked up Vagabond Inn. There were 2 to choose from, so we selected the "Executive" one, thinking it would be even nicer....boy were we in for a suprise! When we checked in, we thought the place was closed down, there was an abandoned hotel next door, and this one appeared the same. The room was very dingy, and had a stenchy smell, we should have just left at that point, however our credit card was already billed and it was only for one night, thank goodness. My husband wanted to sit in the jacuzzi, but it was bone dry. The pool wasn't empty, just full of dirty water, and a big piece of pool cleaning equipment, looked like it had been there for years. There furniture had lots of stains, so did the rug, we made sure to keep our slippers on at all times! In the AM we went for the hot breakfast that was advertised..it consitsted of coffee (I guess thats the "hot" part) and stale pastries. I don't know how they could call it "Executive" since when we tried to use the free WIFI they claimed, it said "no connectivity". So glad to check out of this ghost town Hotel California..
