“Fantastic beds”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 January 2012

We had not pre-booked this hotel and it was recommended to us by locals. We arrived late and left early, so the experience is limited.

It is a typical business hotel, but very much a Radisson hotel. What made us remembering the hotel was the beds. They were just fantastic. We can’t remember having slept so well in a hotel room ever. Being able to adjust the sleeping comfort of the beds from soft to rock hard was a totally new experience.

The hotel also had a very good breakfast buffet.

Room Tip: Not all the rooms have the adjustable beds. Ask for it.

“Still an option after 30 years”

This hotel opened originally in 1980 as a Holiday Inn, and quickly became a nexus for those of us looking for a metropolitan experience in Fresno. It remains the only atrium hotel in town and judging by the number of people in the lobby during the evenings and for breakfast in the morning, it appears to be doing well -- probably due it's proximity to the convention center and concert hall. I return to Fresno on an annual basis and usually stay with family, but my last trip required me to find other lodging for the weekend. I was delighted to see that under the Radisson banner, the hotel is still an option. The service was friendly and accommodating. For example, I did not arrive until 4am Saturday morning; they did not charge me for what was technically Friday night by giving me an early check in for Saturday. I bascially got two nights for the price of one. The room was clean and the bathroom spacious -- admittedly in need of some refreshing, but comfortable enough. It definitly beats staying in one of those souless McHotels at every freeway exit.

Room Tip: Get on a higher floor (above 4) for a great views. You'll want to face north (across the city...

“Radisson Fresno”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 January 2012

I have to visit Fresno on a regular basis and do business at the federal district court. In a short time I have been recognized as a returning guest. I have been greeted warmly by the staff and my requests have aways been met if there has been a problem. The location is great if you have to reach downtown businesses. Freeway is convenient if you have to travel, easy on and off ramps. There are other motels in the area but the Radisson has a little better ambience. The indoor waterfall is a pleasant noise to hear if sitting in the lounge. The restaurant is also a good feature. They have a nice buffet option. The workout facilities could be a little better equipped. Book ahead as sometimes conference attendees fill up the rooms. If you're not just looking to lay your head down at night, the Radisson offers some extra nice features.

Room Tip: Higher floors are quieter. Join the Carlson Club if you are a frequent traveler.

Easily located off the 99 and walking distance to county court house, city hall, and federal and stat buildings...and the old court house park.
it is a great place to stay for business or for getting into the sierras from here.
I moved hotels and I am glad for it!!!
Great rooms and beds, nice restaurant and very pleasant service help.
I am a weekly business traveler (Sept. ...Jan.) and Ryan who runs the main desk is great for anything you need.

I wouldn't stay anywhere else.
