Brought the family with small children and stayed in a "penthouse suite" which is a 2nd floor unit with a fully enclosed bedroom on the main level, a open loft space (the 2nd BR) on the upper level, 2 full baths, full kitchen, and a small living room. The positives: Beds are pretty darn comfortable for this class of hotel, the lobby service people were very friendly and helpful, free Internet, free breakfast and dinner, and location is convenient to Interstate 880. The negatives: Carpets were not vacuumed thoroughly (there were lots of hairs on the stairwell where incidentally the children climbed up and down on their hands), found some food from previous guest in the fridge, layout of the penthouse unit was awkward for families with young children mainly due to the 2 level setup, furniture and finishes appear dated despite the fact that they installed new granite and counters in the bathrooms, small tube TV's with limited selection of channels and no video input. Conclusion: It's your typical self-service, extended stay Fremont hotel similar to Homewood Suites. For the right price, it can be an okay place to stay. When the price isn't too far apart, getting 2 connecting rooms at the Hyatt Place is probably a better value in my opinion, but you'll give up having a full kitchen.
