I didn't get the experience others did, when I checked in the staff was friendly and courteous, gave me a non-smoking room that I'd requested. The room was spartan but clean, lots of TV channels (more than Marriott) and very fast internet. Breakfast was toast or ceral. For the price I'd paid it was a good deal, however I wouldn't stay if I was travelling with my family.

1) I booked this room online for the rate of 39.99+ tax and upon arriving I was told by the very rude manager "Bill" that I booked a smoking room. (which I did not) I told them to switch me to a non-smoking room and he said "I have to charge you more money". Trying to talk to "Bill" is a losing situation, he will NOT budge, he is ALWAYS right! This so called manager would not cut me a break and the hotel wasn't even full. I even went back online to check to see the rate for a non-smoking room and it was still the same rate: 39.99. I am going to file a formal complaint with Days Inn. He does use this a lot "This isn't Motel 6" trust me, Motel 6 around the corner is a better place to stay than here, PLEASE don't waste your time!!!

2) The pillow cases were disgusting, smelled like they are 3 weeks old and haven't been washed. The pillows itself need to be thrown away.

3) If you look behind the furniture, especially the bed. There is so much dust and dirt!!! I'm not even exaggerating. Even look under the microwave, very disgusting!

4) I saw a roach come out of the table, Nasty!!!

5) I assume this place has bed bugs because I had hives and bumps and was very itchy the whole stay.

This is the worst hotel experience, your better off staying at Motel 6 or in your car. Don't believe the + reviews or any of the online pictures. This place needs a total overhaul.

I booked this hotel in a last week of August to the first week of September of 2011 by directly calling the front desk because the owner Bill told me last year that he makes only $35 per booking when people book it through internet with no guarantee of getting actual room.
First of all he gave a room with missing window and no safety device installed for children and adults safety; they covered it with curtain so I won't notice. Luckily I have noticed it right away before my three years old son can reach it. They were not willing to change the room, so I had to tell them that I am going to file a complain with Daysinn corporate office. Room was changed to smelly dirty room with old dirty badly repaired carpet. Due to our busy schedule, We couldn't change the hotel right away. Hotel owner Bill, on the phone assured me that the rates I am getting for the first three days will be extended if I need extension but three days later when I asked him for extension, he refused to offer me rates that we were originally agreed on. Instead, he refused to even admit that he ever had any type of telephonic conversation with me and told me that this is not a motel 6 and I should go to motel 6 if I want to pay anything less then his asking price ( I was already paying $60 a night for filthy room).
I have stayed at this hotel a couple of times in a past but I will never stay at any DaysInn ever again. I will file a formal complain with local building authorities with proofs.

Fiance made reservations online through Southwest.com. Front desk clerk waived the $20 fee for checking in early and gave him the room key for room #214. He got up to the room, the room was FILTHY! He went back down to the desk and was told to wait in the lobby til his room was cleaned. In the meantime, the manager "Bill" who was foreign and EXTREMELY rude proceeded to argue with him over the $20 early check-in fee. My fiance explained to him that he was in town once a month for work and always stayed at least 5-6 nights and was considering staying at this hotel from now on. The manager continued to act out irrationally and ended up cursing my fiance out. He called him names, cussed him repeatedly, and told him to get out of "his" hotel. I thought he was joking when he told me this story, because surely in today's society a hotel involved in the service industry would never allow this type of behavior to occur. "Bill" needs to be relieved of his duties as manager and enroll himself into some anger management courses! The Days Inn of Fremont, CA will be have MANY complaints filled on them and will be lucky to stay in business very much longer!
