This is an older Courtyard with the chain's typical crappy bedding: a synthetic duvet, very scratchy 60/40 sheets, and a cheap mattress.
Compare that to the nearby Hyatt place which offers MUCH better bedding and a free breakfast yet is often cheaper than this hotel. Even the Hampton Inn arguably offers better bedding.
The hotel felt understaffed, but perhaps that was because a motorcoach tour group had checked in just before me. And they managed to misprogram my keys, which left me locked out on my second night. Having slept poorly the first night, I took the opportunity to just walk away. I'm glad I did.
The hotel is a completely typical Courtyard with the older blue/green color scheme, older furnishings, and a tube TV. Free wired and wireless net. Digital thermostat. Convenient power outlets at both desk and bedside.
One kiosk PC in the lobby, with printer. One washer and dryer, $1.25 each. Indoor pool and tub. Breakfast runs about $13/person.
In many ways, there was nothing wrong with the hotel, it's exactly what Courtyard promises. But compared to the other hotels in the neighborhood, I can't see a single reason to go back. At the low end, the Hyatt Place is a stellar choice. And if you're willing to pay for extras like breakfast, it might be worthwhile to check the Marriott or even the W Hotel (though both will also charge for net).
