Overall stay at ESD fremont was great. Staff was very helpful as I was lost trying to find place.
The location is great, as me and my bf were here I had to work in SJ and left him without a car. It's in walking distance of many many resteraunts, a shopping plaza, gas stations etc. Right off the freeway so it's very accessible but is somewhat noisy at night.
Rooms loooked older but they somewhat tried at remodeling. For instance carpet was kind of dirty as in stained in some areas and look older. (But of course seems like there are families staying here for a week or two-after all it is called "extended stay") Beds were sort of uncomfortable, they were hard. Legs of the desk look worn out. It had one of those older air conditions instead of the central air conditioning. Pluses about the room were that it was pretty roomy compared to what I had prepared myself for, considering reading the previous bad reviews. Overall I rate the rooms as an average room for it's pricing.
yes wifi is an extra 4.99, but this rate covers your whole stay at ESDfremont which is fine.
I was overall pretty happy about my stay here. The amenities were very useful. I booked my room from priceline.com in it's bidding for hotels version. I booked it the night right before my stay and in early december of 2011 got a room for around $40+($10 tax) a night, but on priceline you don't get to choose what hotel you get so thumbs down for that, after reading the reviews I was afraid of staying here and wanted to rebook a different room, I'm glad i didnt' though. AWESOME deal!!! But I wouldn't have mind paying the regular pricing that hotel offered on it's website ($70-79). It's a good room, good location for the price range.
