We found this hotel online. The reviews were very high and justifiably so! Management guaranteed us a full refund, if weather prevented us from making our reservation; and yet still, honored the online reduced rate. This Hotel has the highest ratings of any hotel near Eureka; yet, inexplicably, has the one of the LOWEST rates! The room was spacious and clean. It had plenty of extra ammenities; such as mouthwash, shower caps, shoe cloth and vanity pack and free wifi. The breakfast area was spotless. Fresh hot pancakes and packaged yogurt were among the many choices. The breakfast host was constantly restocking and making sure trash did not build up. Coffee was available 24/7. The lobby had beautiful murals and Christmas decorations. The indoor pool and Spa was clean, warm and inviting with beautiful full wall murals. Windows were kept clean and clear. Hotel location was out of Eureka in a clean, safe small town with lots of shopping and nice welcoming indian casino called Bear River. A steak house and gas station was next door; however, quietly situated. We will always return, as we have never been treated better.

We were visiting family in Fortuna this weekend. I normally book whichever motel on Alamar Rd is the cheapest. This time it was Holiday Inn. We were very impressed- the beds were extremely comfortable to sleep in, the rooms were clean and spacious, and the pillows were marked "soft" or "firm" and there were plenty of pillows. Good hot breakfast in the morning, and as we are priority members, we each go a free bottle of water! I'll definitely stay here again.

We ran away to Northern California for the few days around Thanksgiving for a bit of R&R. This hotel was clean and newly refurbished(however the wall/ceiling trim was not done very well and you could see were it was separating from the wall). I had a problem with a spill of water on my bed and they graciously offered to either give us another room or change the bedding and flip the mattress. I opted for the later as we were already settled in the room. They accomplished this task with in 15 minutes of my call to the front desk, all with a smile. Needless to say I was impressed. Especially since it was very late (or early depending on your perspective) at night. My friend had the good (firm) bed and slept quite well. I on the other hand discovered that my bed was soft and a bit saggy and I didn't sleep very weil. It was the bed closest to the bath, which I've found is common in hotel rooms. Even though it was cold and storming outside, we found the indoor pool refreshing and jacuzzi relaxing.
Will stay there again should we need a place in the area.

I really enjoyed my stay here. The room was extremely nice and clean. The bed was very comfortable. All staff were friendly including the housekeeping. The breakfast was good too. The best thing about it all was the price, I only paid $64! The only thing not so good was that there were some ants.
