“Great Location”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 January 2011

We recently stayed at this hotel on New Years Eve. This hotel is very clean and located within walking to outlet stores and great restautents in Folsom. Very clean and quiet. They do have a continental breakfast but it is an additional charge. I think it would be better to include it as most hotels do now a days. That would be one reason we would not stay again. It is a very clean and nice hotel.

Awesome in-house full breakfast, reasonably priced, and served by waitstaff! Recieved quick, free assistance from an 800 number, to connect to wireless network. Friendly, helpful front desk staff....Allowed to use printer in Business Center. Great location, close to shopping. We saw no evidence of bed bugs, as reported in other review .... we always check out the mattress prior to getting into any Hotel bed.

“tempting beds”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 November 2010

My business carries me once or twice a year to Folsom. When I am there, I keep returning to the Hilton Garden Inn.
First, I truely feel welcomed when I enter. Almost always I am greeted with a big smile and very possitive / efficient / can-do attitude.
The hotel has a small but very functional business center, in which you can access internet on their computers, and use a printer, free of charge. Thanks! The hotel is networked with wireless access. The breakfast is very nice, and has good veriaty of items to accomodate even my taste... The hotel is located right off hwy 50, allowing easy access.
Most importantly - the beds... when I enter the room, I can't wait to get into bed (that is - to go to sleep ;-) ). The linen is clean and crisp, and the bed is VERY comfortable, with softness adjustment - absolutely fabulous.
The only reason I did not give the hotel a 5 star rating on sleep quality *but did give it in overall rating) is due to a deficiency which, in my mind, exists in many hotels in the States: the noise level a room can have. For some reason, many hotels in the States have poor isolation, and heavy machinary (mainly external aircondition units with noisy fans) which create noise. For your common local traveler, this is not audible. For a Jet-leg'd traveler, all it takes is some stronger noise to wake you up in the middle of the night, and the rest of your sleep is gone. In relative terms, I am able to find a quiet room in this hotel, and hence I gave it a 4, not a 5. Truely, compared to otehr hotels i've been in the States it probably deserves a 5.
So, yes, Hilton garden inn - you will continue to see me when I visit the area - I like your hotel, and will gladely revisit you.

“BEWARE - BEDBUGS!!!!!!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 September 2010

Stayed for 8 days in Sept 2010. After the 1st night, my wife found a few minor skin iritations, thought it was an aleregic reaction to the laundry detergent used on the sheets. By 3rd night we were both getting bit, but thought we had a mosquito in the room. More and more bites appeared over the final days, but we were busy and just 'wrote it off.' Stupid us. The morning we were to leave, rolled out of bed & started scratching my ankle like crazy. Finally pulled the matress away from the wall & box springs. Saw a small object on the wall, put my finger on it & it exploded blood on the wall. Pulled the sheets off the matress, found several fully nourished bedbugs in the seams/folds. Captured several in a water glass to share with hotel management. They confided that they've had a 'few' outbreaks over the past few years. Wonderful. Made careful examination of each other, found over 50 bites combined. Took digital photos of the bites to include with the scathing letter we are composing to the Hilton. Hotel 'comped' us for half our bill, but so what? We still feel completely violated. BEWARE THIS HOTEL!

I want to sincerely apologize for the issue you had at our hotel. Unfortunately, ours is one of the numerous hotels nationwide that has experienced bed bugs in the past. However, that issue has since been handled. At the time you alerted us of the issue, we took the necessary precautions to eliminate the problem immediately. The entire hotel was then fully inspected. We have been given a clean bill of health by Orkin, a leading exterminator. “Very good value and great location to folsom area.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 August 2010

Very nice value at around $90/night. Across the street from a very nice outlet mall. Five minutes from old downtown folsom. Nice beds (with fitted sheets). Very clean and service was great. Only problem we had was that our TV was an old 27" CRT and the screen would go out on it every now and then. We didn't watch TV much in there, but it could have been a problem if we wanted to. great 24 hour snack bar and breakfast was a buffet at around $10 per person (about $5 for kids). Overall a nice place and a good deal in Folsom.
