“Location Fantastic, Facility Fair”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 February 2012

Stayed here for a couple of nights for a business trip/conference. The hotel just didn't have any snap! Tons of potential as it is located in Historic downtown Folsom, on the lake front with a hiking trail in the back yard.
Lake Natoma Inn's food and drink is over-priced for what you get. The business room only had one working computer. When the paper ran out in the printer, the desk lady slapped a stack of paper on the counter and did not offer assistance otherwise!

The workout room is small, crowed with mostly old equipment and water cups the size of a shot glass! Carpet is all old and worn, lighting in the rooms is dim and the wall switches are strangely located. Wall sockets are scarce and hard to reach.

“Great Hotel - Mattress Guest Purchase Program Sucks”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 January 2012

My husband stayed here for over three months - going back and forth for work. He loved the mattresses so much we decided to purchase one through Lake Natoma's Guest Purchase Program. We paid over $1700 and the bed is awlful. We contacted the company and the only response is to ask if there is anything structurally wrong with the bed. It's so uncomfortable, hard as a rock. We loved the Lake Natoma Inn. We slept great, the staff was awesome. It was a wonderful experience visiting there on the weekends. The area is beautiful, the locals are friendly. I would go back in a second, but don't purchase through the Simmons Guest Purchase Program. You'll be sorry. We are :(

“Affordable and as expected”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 January 2012

The exterior of this 3 star hotel is charming. I arrived after dark and left before sunrise so my review is limited to the reception and the guest room.
I was underwhelmed by the front desk agent upon arrival, she wasn't unfriendly, she just didn't seem all that pleased to see me. She was efficient.
The room was comfortable. They have made some updates like a flat screen television however many of the features were dated.
As some reviewers mentioned there was a lot of wedding or social event revelers making a lot of noise late into the night. I arrived at 11pm and by 12:30am they were still having fun. By 1am it seemed to have settled down. It didn't bother me much but if you are a light sleeper this could be a challenge on a weekend. I thought the room had a funny aroma like a dog had been in there or something.
The bath amenities were quite nice, great smelling lotion and shampoo.
I would stay here again if I had to be in the area.

“Family friendly - will stay again!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 December 2011

We stayed in one of the premium suites while visiting family for the week of Thanksgiving - 2 adults, 2 children.

UPGRADES for VIEW: we were upgraded for a river view (?); all we saw was a very large tree. It was a free upgrade, but I would caution people paying for upgrades to somehow "validate" your view before paying any extra money.

ROOM: The room was huge; there was plenty of room for 2 adults and 2 children. It was clean and well appointed.

FOOD: we did not eat in the restaurant; however, it looked nice and always smelled good when we walked by.

SERVICE: we had no issues here, but we also didn't have any need for service above and beyond the norm. Our room was cleaned every day on time and we were pleased with the front desk.

Overall, we were very pleased and will stay here again!

“Great experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 December 2011

We held my daughter's wedding here this past summer and had several folks who needed a place to stay. This hotel was very accommodating and the rooms were quite nice. The staff is very helpful and the food was pretty good too.

We enjoyed our experience here and it's within walking distance to old Folsom where there are wonderful shops to peruse.
