“Great Place!”

I stayed here for two weeks in December, then came back for two more in January, I have stayed in four different rooms during that time both queen and King. This is one of the most friendly and accomadating motels in which I have stayed, (I am over 50 and travel for a living). Minus bananas, The breakfast is as good as any place I have been, The beds are unbelievably plush and comfortable. The rooms are very clean, fresh and have a new look and feel. The back section is for e adults only and is very quiet. Their cookies make Mrs Fields taste like best brand. I had a problem with the new easy to remotes, but when I told the office, they were at my room within 2 minutes with a new remote. The TVs are large flat screens. the rooms have microwaves and refrigerators. The staff made it a point to learn my name and treated me like an old friend. I highly recommend this place and this would be the first and only place I would stay if I return. I don't believe the negative reviews I see on this site are actually people who have stayed here. Or they are just unhappy people who can never be satisfied.

Room Tip: If you are traveling w/o kids get a room in the back portion.

“Very Basic and Just Okay”

The last stop on our families road trip was Eureka. We picked The Best Western b/c it looked the nicest. When you pull up, the hotel looks very nice and quaint but the outside is quite misleading. We checked in easily but when we got into our room it had a huge water stain on the carpet and a weird odor. We immediately asked to change room. It was a bit complicated b/c at first they charged us for the regular rooms which was wrong since we needed a two room suite. After that matter was dealt with, we had to haul our luggage up three flights of stairs, kind of wished they had an elevator or bell boy! This was was better and quite clean, but the decor was extremely tacky for my taste, it looked like it wold be fit for a grandma though. It had a balcony but your view was of the big rig parked in the mall parking lot next door. The pull out bed was alright, I was able to sleep on it. But it was kind of noisy, although the A/C helped but it was freezing with it on. Breakfast was kind of funky. When we got to the buffet at 9 almost all the food was gone and what little was left was cereal and stale muffins. Overall okay, it's a place to sleep for sure. Just not my taste, and update would be nice.

“One of the Best Best Westerns”

We have stayed twice at the Best Western in the past six months. Each time we were greeted warmly and given a key to a clean well appointed room. The bathroom was separated from the rest of the large room which held the vanity and sink and at the other end of the room there was a table and chairs. There was a small refrigerator where you could keep snacks and drinks. We got a fabulous rate the last time as we stayed four nights - about $75 per night. The included breakfast was varied each morning and had a wide selection of hot and cold foods. it was no continental breakfast but a full one. The only problem was that the key to the pool area and exercise room did not work but we ended up not using them due to other activities. We enjoyed our stay there and would recommend to all.

The room was large with a comfortable bed, the shower and toilet were in separate room. The room had a microwave & refrigerator, free wireless HS internet. Access was by outside balcony with elevators to upper levels. There is also an ice machine and outdoor heated pool. Breakfast consists of cold cereal, gravy and biscuits, sausage patties, waffles, muffins, bagels, pastries, boiled eggs, orange & apple juice. There are restaurants and a shopping center next door.

“WORST PLACE!!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 December 2011

My fiance was interviewing for a health inspector job in Eureka. So we decided to stay here . We thought we book a room in the inner protion apparently not. The pool/jacuzzi was nice but thats just about it!! We asked for a two bed room considering our friend was roadtripping with us. No they gave us a king room and sheets to make him sleep on the floor with. Our last day there a bunch of kids stayed in the room above us ( we stayed on the first floor) we called front desk numerous times to ask them to do something about it. Their response? "Their kids, leave them alone". Pissed and iiritated and tired. We packed our belongings into the car and checked out 10pm. I had a 12 hour drive back home. When I called the next day to ask for a partial refund. The manager said her night staff informed her that I went back to the hotel and even enjoyed a nice breakfast. EXCUSE ME?!?! I was irritated and so upset. I'm glad my fiance didn't take the job after all or else we would literally down grade. Eureka is boring with way to many drug addicts around. This hotel needs to be demolished and needs to better train their staff. They must not get many customers who actually travel and know what classy is because seriously. EVERYTHING they say about their hotel is a lie.

Room Tip: stay somewhere else. your wasting your money you can upgrade to an inside room for like 50 extra a n...
