We found this wonderful inn on Select Registry & were blown away by the 301 Restaurant & wine selections! We had a lovely room. They were having problems with the heat & offered us a space heater but we didn't need it. We were the only ones in the dining room that evening & after a glass of complimentary wine at the bar, we had an delicious meal with dessert! We were even treated to a tour of their wine cellar which was mouth watering...to say the least! The service was great & we would recommend this Inn to anyone!

I travel for business and have stayed at the Carter house many many times. Each time it's like a home away from home. The Hotel is full of interesting people from young couples to retirees and business travelers. The food at the restaurant (Named 301) is amazing and you can choose from delicious appetitizers to full course meals. Ashley and her crew are serious about making your stay amazing. The bar is a fun yet refined place to hang out and you are walking distance to all the shops, water way, and fun things to do in old town. I have stayed at pretty much every hotel in Eureka and the Carter House is second to none!

For my birthday celebration, my husband recently treated me to a one night stay at the Hotel Carter (we live nearby) and dinner at Restaurant 301. It was wonderful. From the moment we set foot in the lobby we were swept away with the scent of their beautiful Christmas tree and their friendly, informative staff. Our suite (201) was beautiful and cozy. It's a corner room with bay window and fireplace. Later, we were upgraded to the 3rd floor suite and it was heavenly with a jacuzzi tub, queen bed with nice linens and bedding, fireplace and separate sitting room. We enjoyed a complimentary glass of wine at the bar as well as appetizers by the fire. They have an extensive wine list and their own label. The Cabernet was fantastic. Dinner was scrumptious and the service, excellent. Their staff is knowledgeable from the food and wines to what's going on around town. If you don't check out the Carter House Inns you will be missing out on something special.

One of the most charming and original hotels that I've ever stayed at. The decor is inspired and very chic. We stayed in one of the cottages and didn't want to leave. The restaurant was fantastic - great food and great service. Also one of the most astounding wine lists I've ever seen. Absolutely remarkable place and I can't wait to go back.
