This is a great resort for any time of the year. There are many options to choose from and one of my favorites is the two bedroom two bathroom older units that either face the golf course or the fountains. The units themselves are nicely decorated and the grounds are beautiful. There is so much to do at the resort as well as in the surrounding areas. The pools and waterslides are fun for both the kids and the adults. And the weather in the winter months is usually very mild. This is a great place to enjoy a vacation.

After reading some of these reviews we went with little expectations, what a surprise !! The resort is beautiful !! The room was absolutely fantastic (Mountain Villas),two fireplaces and very well appointed. We only had dinner at Canyon once but it was great! The only thing was the resort was an hour away from anything in San Diago,yet still OK !! We would highly recomend this resort as a vacation destination.

Welk Escondido is a lovely facility. My husband and I have utilized these facilities many times and have had a wonderful time. The staff is attentive, friendly, and very professional. The rooms and resort are clean, well appointed, and extremely comfortable. The location is beautiful, nestled in the hills of Escondido...close enough to get to attractions/beach (within 1/2 - 1 hour), but remote enough to feel like you are getting away from the hectic city. I can not say anything negative...Jaime in reservations is AWESOME. Thank you so much Jaime. Thank you Welk. We are so happy to be owners. We look forward to many future memories with our family and can't wait to visit the other Welk facilities.

Resort is away from San Diego and most of tourist attractions. Apartments are well equipped but rooms are rather small and dark. Good choice for golf lovers as it boasts two golf courses. Also, it offers good facilities for families. Not up to our expectations though.
