“Great Nostalgic Motel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 October 2010

My husband and I try to find the older motels to stay in when we take our road trips. This one is going to be added to our list and we will return. The room was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was small but the shower was large and the hot water was instant. There is a railroad track quite close, but the trains past fast and it is only noisy for a few seconds. It did not disturb our sleep in any way.

“Nice for the price”

We stayed here for 3 nights over Thanksgiving. It was fine for the most part, the bed was really hard and rickety.....sleeping pills recommended.....the room was fairly clean, kitchenette handy. The shower was interesting, don't give up on the hot water, it will come....eventually. In all, we had an OK stay. It was fairly quiet and handy for our needs. Very difficult to get a hold of the office to make a reservation.

“Great Value, Clean and Comfortable”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 August 2009

Stayed 2 nights. Found the room very clean and spacious. Had small kitchen which was great traveling with kids! Great restaurants nearby (try Captn Kenos- fed whole family huge meal for $20!! - just bring cash as they don't take debit cards) Guy at desk very friendly and informative. The only drawback, no fault of the hotel, was it was a little further walk to the beach than we hoped - took about 15-20 minutes.

“Inexpensive, clean and convenient”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 March 2009

This place is quiet, friendly and a great bargain! We would definitely stay here again. The bathroom is a tad small, but the shower was great. It was also nice to not pay $150 for a hotel in this town!

“Do Not Stay Here”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 November 2008

My wife and I stayed here during our two days in town. The man in charge was very rude and told me, when i complained about not having a smoke detetctor in my room ( It looked as tho it was ripped from the ceiling) That I would be asked to leave if I complained any more. And everywhere else was booked so I didnt have a choice. Our bathroom was so discusting that we each only took one shower while we were here. There was mold everywhere in the shower. i would have rathered showered outside with a garden hose. Our room was VERY small. Almost imposible to walk around. the beds were the most uncomfortable thing I have ever attempted to sleep on. When my wife used her hair dryer she blew the fuse in our room and we were without power for an hour or so. the rooms are advertised with a kitchen and dining area, our kitchen had 1 fork 2 spoons and 3 mismatched plates. Our dining area was a 1 foot wide table with 2 folding chairs. Hardly enough room to set one plate. Overall the worst experience I have ever had anywhere!! DO NOT STAY HERE!
