As we had a granddaughter at the Calif College of the Arts, this was fairly nearby. We have stayed in many places for less money and had better surroundings. The room had a very poor layout, a hide-a-bed at the foot of the bed left little room to get by. It needed better cleaning and the towels were like sandpaper. We did have a nice view across the bay, but the freeway was whizing by right under our window. There is a nice mall across the street and we enjoyed a fine dinner at PF Changs. Breakfast was the hotel buffet and other than the made to order omelettes wasn't anything special. The staff in the diningroom seemed more interested in talking with each other than helping the guests. We were directed to a table that had been used earlier and instead of a clean tablecloth, the waiter merely turned it so that the coffee stains were under the salt and pepper shakers. On arrival we discovered that we had no hot water at the bathroom sink. The front desk did send someone up promptly to fix it, but it was never quite right.
