We arrived at the blue butterfly inn We arrived in late august in the midst of a wildfire in a neighboring community. Although all power was off and a neighboring restaurant served dinner prepared on a grill to the evacuees and other guests, Ron and Liz were calm and imparted that feeling to their guests. They offered emergency dinner if we couldn't get food at the restaurant provided flashlights and lanterns to guests. The next day the evacuation order was lifted and we awakened to the sounds of the rushing Merced River and the smell of country ham ,eggs and fresh fruit bowl and homemade muffins, jam and bread and coffee all of which was offered on a beautiful deck along with visiting hummingbirds.
The inn itself is beautiful, clean and filled with antiques. The inn is located literally at yosemite's back door and Liz and Ron were a fount of information regarding the treasures at yosemite. If we are lucky enough to return to yosemite, we will be returning to the blue butterfly inn.
