“A relaxing, real retreat”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 February 2012

My friend and I (along with my service puppy-in-training) needed a getaway from the SF Bay Area. We wanted the hot tub, mineral pools, quietness, and beautiful surroundings without the spa scene clientele or atmosphere. Found Hacienda Hot Springs and based on reviews, reserved two nights at the end of December. Hacienda Hot Springs is in a word, perfect. A simple, elegant, beautifully landscaped retreat that offers both privacy and relaxation. Amazing breakfast spread and great room (4) with private patio and kitchenette. Karl is just simply the best. He was always available, responsive, and very tolerant of the service pup on the grounds. (Karl actually adored her!) Karl had recommendations for local eats, encouraged us to grill on the grounds, shared stories with us, and provided us with the perfect atmosphere. Looking forward to returning again sooner than later.

“Instant unwind...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 February 2012

Perhaps it was the hammock, right as I entered I lay down in it, hanging in my own little patio area. Looking up through the trees and hearing the gentle choir of desert life while breathing deeply of the delicious air... ahhhhh, the change in me was palpable. But I had only one night so it was eventually left for the two bodys of earth heated water. They sit amidst a lush desert garden. In the delicious pool, alone (there are only 6-7 rooms in the hotel, so if one seeks solitude, it can happen) I floated looking up at the full moon and wispy clouds, smelling the air scented with the plants and trees.

As I write this I look to the earlier reviews on the right, and find I am just repeating what everyone else has written. If you are looking for a corporate cookie cutter type of 5-star place, this is not it, rather it is almost like staying at a wealthy friend's. Next time I plan to stay for more then the one night (if they'll have me). Nice people, nice hotel cat, nice place.... go!

“An oasis in Desert Hot Springs”

We have stayed at this lovely place twice and would love to go back tomorrow. The property is beautifully cared for inside and out. The Inn is small, simple and elegant. An easy going place to relax and enjoy the pool, hot tub, gorgeous landscaping and comfortable rooms. The manager Karl and the rest of the staff were very gracious and always helpful. You can cook in your room or take an easy drive to Palm Springs for dinner. If you like hiking or photography drive up to Joshua Tree National Park (about 45 min.). A wonderful place in late Fall, Winter or early Spring. We plan to return often!

“the best of the best”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 February 2012

Great water (hot and warm pools for soaking, no sulfur smell); wonderful atmosphere (peaceful & calm, with lush vegetation); superb staff (helpful & friendly); comfortable room (firm bed, luxurious sheets): the only place I want to stay in Desert Hot Springs, & I’ve stayed at or seen most of the hot springs lodgings here. Such a treat!

“Hospitality supreme at the Hacienda”

My first, but not last stay, at the Spanish styled Hacienda Hot Springs Inn. Charming greeting by Karl the innkeeper and staff. Relaxed within the beautiful lush grounds; pampered myself in the mineral pool and spa, and meditated on my own private patio. Blissful!
