Golden Eagle Ranch is an excellent place to stay for a weekend getaway. Breakfast was served each morning by Lisa. The views outside are amazing, and sunsets can be seen out of the West Room where I stayed with my boyfriend. I would recommend this place to anyone in San Diego or visiting from out of town for a once in a lifetime experience!

If you are looking for a peaceful getaway, stay at Golden East Ranch. Lisa and Chris were absolutely the nicest & most giving hosts I have ever experienced here in California. Lisa sent us off to our hike with handmade trail mix, a list of different trails through Mount Cuyamaca and welcomed us home with open arms upon our return. The smell of her cooking in the midst of the nature surrounding her property is truly calming - definitely made me feel like I was back at home on the east coast. The bonfire at night was the perfect addition to the cool November evening I shared with Tony at the Ranch. The rooms and bathrooms were SO clean & we had our own Entertainment Room on the top floor - very private - with a list of DVD's, a small kitchen and an endless amount of puzzles & games. Breakfast was AMAZING - the smell of food that lingered through the house woke me up from my very comfortable sleep. We were served fresh fruit, hand squeezed juices, eggs, THE WORKS!

I HIGHLY recommend this experience to anyone who wants to get away from the hustle and bustle of City Life.

Everybody in our party enjoyed our two-night stay. Lisa is a kind, gracious and natural hostess, providing the right amount of attention and help.

Lisa's horse was a big plus for our horse-crazy 12 year old niece. It did not matter that she couldn't ride Quill, just to watch her and be with her was enough.

This B&B was enjoyed equally by all in the party: my big-city sister-in-law said she would come back; and we who are also innkeepers found the place relaxing and fun. We particularly enjoyed the views, the quiet, and a guest-only living room with all the comforts of home.
