We really enjoyed our time at the Stratford Inn and will be back for a little escape from it all very soon. The staff was very helpful and the newly remodelled rooms were just perfect. Just down the street from the beach and an area to run in the morning, loved this place!!!

I have been coming to the Stratford for almost ten years.... I have always had an amazing experience there. Susan and the infamouse Miss Barbara are amazing, wonderful and always smiling.
The rooms are clean, Spa is great, views are amazing... and wait til all therenovations are done.
It is so worth the drive from Las Vegas to know that I will have a great, comfortable room when I get there....
And its close to all the shopping and eating spots (especially En Fuego) in downtown Del Mar....
You will be pleasantly surprised at this great little Hideaway...

We've been staying at the Stratford Hotel in Del Mar for over seven years. We generally stay in the 'suites'. The staff and the accomodations are always superb. Our last visit in November had been our only visit to Del Mar in the past two years. My wife and I live in Phoenix, AZ and our son is a student at SDSU, so this past Thanksgiving weekend we had a little family reunion as my daughter came in from North Carolina. We booked our reservation direct with Barbara. Barbara always remembers us and she goes beyond the scope to accomodate my wife and I and our two maltese pets. (yes, this is a pet friendly hotel...hard to find a good one these days). Barbara is the kind of person who welcomes you with kindness and care and even recommended a restaurant for our reunion. We look forward to our return this spring and dining at the new restaurant at the 'Stratford'

Each year i visit my nephew and his family in Del Mar and always stay at the Stratford because it offers all the amenities higher price hotels offer, is conveniently located, and has good service.
