This was our second stay at the Hallmark Inn and will be whenever we are in Davis. The rooms are spacious with balconies, microwave and refrig, noiseless heater/air, easy chair with good reading light, coffee maker with porcelan cups. If you have a problem in your room, the staff will take care of it immediately. The complimentary breakfast is NOT ordinary with fresh fruit, homemade pastries, hot oatmeal (not instant), waffles and omelets made to order. Dishes are porcelan and flatware is not plastic. The low bar coctail hour serves each guest 2 complimentary drinks and snacks. There is always a fresh plate of cookies and hot coffee. You can't beat the Hallmark.

Hallmark Inn is a fabulous place to stay in Davis. Great location. The rooms are great, wonderful breakfast, lovely bar with happy hour and all the staff are the best!! A must place to stay while in Davis, Ca.

The rooms in Hallmark are getting a bit shabby; the carpet was stained, the sink is showing black specks where the porcelain has worn away. The room was clean and comfortable. Hallmark is on the edge of downtown right next to the railroad tracks. It is best to ask for a room away from the tracks. I have stayed 3 times at Hallmark, it is fine for a business trip. The breakfast is an ordinary cold buffet except for the made to order omelets which are quite nice. If you are spry, you can walk to UC Davis, but it will take a few minutes. There is plenty of parking at Hallmark and they will loan you a bicycle if you are up for that kind of commuting.

We were moving our son into dorms on Sunday so our family of four decided to spend a couple nights at the Hallmark Inn. Room was comfortable and spacious. Hotel was conveniently located for evening strolls around downtown. No mini fridge, but ice readily available to keep drinks cold. Although close to train station, from our room across movie theater, we barely heard the rumbles at night. Family enjoyed the deluxe complimentary breakfast and would recommend the omelette station for custom orders. Just a couple comments, parking spaces do fill up quickly in the late evening and are very snug for large SUVs and vans. Also, the room doors tend to shut noisily so think of your neighbors and close gently. All in all a very pleasant stay and would definitely come back again.
