We asked for a quiet room and were assigned one in the single-story section at the rear of the hotel. Room was large, immaculate; beds were great (two kings). Shower was basic but good. The hotel provided a continental breakfast but it wasn't too inspiring; they seemed to be out of juice by the time we got there (before the cut-off time) and also the counter could've done with a wipe off. The little Italian restaurant across the parking lot is a better option and is also a good place for dinner. The grounds are pretty and well-maintained; I'd stay here again.

Has a nice pool. prices are good. easy walk to the little downtown area and all the restaurants. Breakfast is simple. Pool area is pretty.

Stayed here on a road trip with my high school junior to look at UC Davis. Booked this place because they offer an inexpensive small suite, so we could have our own private areas. On the positive side, the room was very clean, and smelled new. I think the carpet had just been replaced.There is a TV in the bedroom and one in the living room area, along with a sink and microwave. The TV had a lot of channels, and the location is just off I-80, 5 minutes to the campus visitor center. However, the location of the motel is between the freeway and train tracks, and the trains run all night. As a previous writer mentioned, the AC/Heat unit is in the living room only. On our visit it was unseasonably cool, and the heat wouldn't reach the bedroom which stayed cool/cold, while the living room was hotter than hot. The "free wifi" wouldn't work. The desk person couldn't help us get on, but we found an open network, possibly from the restaurant next door. There are other hotels actually in "old town" Davis that might be a better choice, and a new Hyatt walking distance from the visitor center on campus. All in all, an OK stay for the price.

My husband and I stayed here while visiting our son at UCD. Reasonable price and walking distance to downtown Davis which are the 2 things I look for when visiting Davis. Hotel is no frills and clean. Pool is pretty nice for relaxing in on a very hot day. Rooms are large, comfortable and clean. Would recommend staying here.
