I was concerned with the resort fee, as the only thing worth having for us on the list was the wireless internet, which was very spotty and I lost connection several times during our stay.
We went out to the pool and we were a little disturbed by the old nasty towels they have for there guests to use, along with the plastic lounge chairs. With two kids in tow we headed up to the room, my wife to do the kids baths and I to make the coffee. I looked everywhere for the coffee pot. I could not find it, so I called down and they informed me that they do not have one in the rooms, but they could bring me one up for $25.00. When we think of 5 star, we like to think of the Four Seasons or the Montage. This hotel is not even close to those. I was forced to go to the lobby to buy coffee at their coffee house, which closes at 5pm and is not open till 6am. At bedtime we like to have the air conditioning on, I would have it on and after 5 minutes it would shut off. I got up several times during the night to turn it back on, I could not understand why it kept shutting off. I just found a business card that the hotel gave me that says if there is no motion in the room, that the air shuts off. I cant even tell you how mad I am at the cheapness of this hotel. The bed was one of the worst ones I have ever slept in and the pillows were absolutely the worst I have ever had. I ended up using my sweatshirt as a pillow. Years ago I saw this hotel as a 5 star, 5 diamond. I am not sure if it is still rated that way, but we were expecting that it was. :-(
