If you decide to go to San Francisco on a whim (or last minute business trip) and you need to make hotel reservations within a week or less, you may have a hard time finding hotel rooms in the city. That's exactly what happened to me this past week. I looked and found this hotel that is around 10 miles form downtown and Fisherman's Warf and I'm glad I did. The property is off Freeway 280 and you can be in town within 15 -20 minutes via car or you can take the train (BART). What's more - if you are an out of state visitor and a hamburger lover, you're in luck. A stone throw from the hotel is an "In-and-out" hamburger restaurant. Get your taste buds ready ... this is the best hamburger California offers. So, back to the hotel. Clean, comfortable with helpful staff, all you expect from a Hampton is here. Enjoy your stay!

My family and took our 1st trip to San Francisco and wanted to avoid the expensive hotels with the additional parking fees. However we were concern about being too far from the tourist attractions. This hotel was perfect, it was about 10 minutes from the city, parking free, continental breakfast (which was good), indoor pool so my daughter was able to swim during the winter months and most important.....GREAT PRICE! I would highly recommend staying at this hotel :)

The Hampton Inn was good. The staff was very accommodating and knowledgable about SF. The hotel wasn't luxury but it was clean and comfortable. The neighborhood was nothing to speak of but it was a short walk to the BART.

The hotel's site pictures don't do the hotel justice. Very nicely appointed public areas and guest rooms. Excellent and robust breakfast (free!). Staff very friendly. Clean rooms. Micro fridge was a pleasant surpise. Just minutes from the SFO airport. We stayed here because the hotels in San Francisco were so expensive. This hotel is minutes from the nearest BART station which took us within short time to all the downtown SF sites. Next door is a great Chinese restaurant and around the corner is Val's steak house - really superb steaks. I write very few reviews. When I do it is for an excellent property. This is one.
