Flying in for business is always tiring and makes me weary, particularly as you are staying in strange hotels and usually flying in the night before you get to work. I try to stay at Mariott's wherever I can when travelling for work, and this was no exception.
This hotel was wonderful. The front desk staff was attentive and quick to process my check in. I was provided with a check in welcome package, and a fresh cookie. I found my room very clean, and perfect for business travel. The desk had a pull out rolling table that I could roll over to the couch or further back from the TV, and the internet connection was fast enough for my needs.
The parking lot is somewhat of a hassle, requiring you to check in at the front desk with your parking stub to ensure the day's parking is charged to your room in advance of your trying to check your car out of the lot. That could certainly be explained better or streamlined, but relatively minor issue.
The lounge area is a nice area to sit and have a few drinks with coworkers after a long day of work, and the staff is attentive. In the mornings the lounge offers a full breakfast with eggs, sausage/bacon, waffles, bagels, etc. That's a great benefit to those travelling on business, being able to grab breakfast at the hotel before heading out.
This was well located about 10 minutes from the airport, with major freeways nearby for easy travel around Los Angeles. Sony and MGM are right across the freeway, as is a mall.
