My wife and I spent 1 night in Holiday Inn Mammoth Lake on our way to San Francisco. We did not book a room before and came by chance to this hotel, where the price of the night looked acceptable for us. The staff in reception was very strange and I did not feel confident in the way he was dealing with us. First he took our credit card and after taking all info, he said that it did not work, then he asked for another credit card. I refused and said that I would pay cash instead, then it became very strange, as he refused to give me back the info about my "refused" credit card and I then immediately took his name in order to protect myself in case somenthing would happen with this guy. I think he was trying something with us but it did not work as I became very fast suspicious about him and his way of acting.
Well, for the hotel I should say that the room were quite good, large enough, but problem was that the swimming pool was very small and looking neither clean nor attractive, furthermore, breakfast was not at all what you can expect from Holiday Inn.
Basically, I would not recommend this hotel and I would suggest to pay a little bit more and to take a real good hotel, which exist all around then place.
