“Stay in Southern California, you should be staying here!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 February 2012

I travel monthly to Southern California and cover both the Redland/Riverside and the Costa Mesa/Irvine areas. A friend recommended that I try staying at Ayres Hotel and Suites in Costa Mesa, because he had a great stay and enjoyed both the beds and friendly staff.
After enjoying my first stay, with the most comfortable beds, as well as the ever helpful and friendly staff, I looked to find that this family owned hotel has 19 other locations throughout Southern California.
I have enjoyed breakfast, lunch and dinner at the Le Chateau Garden Bistro and I can say that the chefs all serve great menu choices and delicious food.
I now schedule all of my staff to stay at the Ayres Hotels, because they will get a restful sleep and enjoy a great breakfast buffet that is included in the price.
If you are in or will be staying in the Southern California area, I suggest that you check out the Ayres Hotels.

Stayed here for 6 weeks off and on for training at my new job and this is the hotel they prefer to use. This hotel made up for the fact that many nights per week over a 6 week period that I wasn't at home in my own bed. The rooms are updated with very comfortable beds and you get a nice flat screen TV with all the channels you need. The bathrooms are spacious and all the rooms I stayed in had a small bar area. There is a small gym on site that helps keep you active and the restaurant is pretty good if you don't want to drive to another location. Staff is super friendly as well so all in all it's a good stay. I would say the only things they need to work on are the condition of their computers for guests to use as they are pretty outdated-could barely log into gmail! And then adding microwaves in the rooms as it would be nice to reheat food easily instead of going to one that lives in the hallway by an ice machine.

Dear Penny -

Thank you so much for your kind review of the hotel. It was an honor to host you for such a long period and it is wonderful to hear that the accommodations, amenities, and services made for a satisfactory stay. Your suggestion regarding the computers is much appreciated as well. Please know that we are currently in the process of revamping our business center and should have the most current equipment and software very soon. Please also note that we do have microwaves available in all of the rooms in our suites building. Perhaps on your next stay we can ensure you room in this building. Again, thank you so very much for your review. We hope to welcome you again soon.

Regards,

“An Excellent Choice!”

Spent a couple nights here prior to heading to San Diego for a golf tournament. Had researched the hotels in the area and decided could not pass up the opportunity to try this establishment out.

The hotel is so picturesque - quaint and cosy. The rooms were large and bright and the bed was very comfortable. Spent a few hours in the restaurant in the late evening for a few drinks and certainly enjoyed the hot breakfast.

Really enjoyed our stay and will certainly be back again next time I am in the area.

“Money well spent for a comfortable, clean, restful home away from home”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 February 2012 via mobile

Let me be clear about the Ayres: it is not cheap, but you do get tremendous quality and value for your stay here. To start, the front desk will generally call you moments after checking in to ensure your room has met your expectations. They bake some of the best tasting cookies I've had which are both complimentary and welcoming. The gym could use an upgrade but hey, it's southern California! -just head down to Newport Beach a few miles away for some pacific breeze and a great workout experience! The breakfast is really one if the best complimentary ones I've had - always fresh, filling, and excellent service to start your day. It can get crowded but I have never had difficulty finding a seat. In summary, the Ayres is one of Costa Mesa's best kept secrets. It is not as well known as say Hilton, buy wow, it is one of the best money values you can spend for a trip to socal.
