You get what you pay for in this room and a little more. While you won't get a big breakfast you will get enough to fill you until your next meal. For the price you get a nice large clean room and a large 40 in. mounted TV. While a little older all was well taken care of. We stayed 3 days and our room was always cleaned and cared for. No problem with the area or getting around. Pretty close to food and movies and most importantly the beach!

This is an old favorite that has been kept up well. Stayed in a one bedroom suite that was clean and attractive. Everything was in working order, including kitchenette. It's walking distance to restaurants and easy drive to the beach.

Seemingly pleasant start of stay with an easy check in and a big bed and room, though the room faced the major thoroughfare and highway exit to Newport Beach. The police pull-over show was an all night experience in front of my door/window. The pool was chill and the hot tub was oddly foamy, but it was okay. The Svenhardt breakfast and strong coffee w/ donuts and more is good. The flat screen tv in the king room the first day had a bad signal on most channels so it negated the size. It should and could be better, but it may be good, for the price, most times. Great place for base of all exploration SoCal and LoCal, and that trumps all. Be Careful out there in Newport and HB travelers.

Apart from the tiny lobby with no seating for breakfast & not enough chairs for the table in the room to eat what they serve as a continental breakfast, this motel is not too bad. We stayed several nights and were put in a room on the second floor with the window facing a wall. It is 3 miles to Newport Beach so we didn't complain about the nonview.
Breakfast: coffee or tea, juice boxes, wrapped Danish, oatmeal, toast, fresh fruit, donuts. No where to eat it except for couch in lobby. Beds are comfy. Towels are slightly rough. Pool is not heated. Jacuzzi works. A/C was quiet & efficient.
