Our home away from home for some 6 years now! The "Del" has been our getaway from Las Vegas and it never disappoints! The employees are great and we have made some good friendships over the years. From ocean view rooms to a sidewalk next to the ocean to walk along as well as a unique little town to walk, shop, and eat, to cocktails by the pool, the Del has it all. Breakfast at the Sheerwater or dinner, the views of the ocean are awesome! A great place to go to eat, drink, and relax, the Del is our little fantasy island!!! Whether you like water sports, workouts, and messages give the Del a try! (if you get a massage ask for Jennifer or Diana, a problem at the front desk ask for Karissa or Dan, a good drink see Jessica or Brett at the splash pool, dinner at the Sheerwater ask for Margarito!!) Have fun!!

We had the opportunity to stay and experience hotel Del Coronado as part of our month long trip on the west coast of the US. Upon arriving our appointed room was dissappointing, having prepaid for an upgrade to a suite I was surprised to discover we had been appointed one of the dark suites, this is how the receptionist explained it to her supervisor. After a long discussion which begun with the front desk team stating I wasnt entitled to an upgrade that it had been afforded to us on a complimentary basis and therefore I should be happy! I explained we had infact paid for the Suite again after a long discussion the team agreed to appoint a better loacted suite from the following day. This as you can image tainted our week long stay. The liesure facilities are very well managed however it is important to highlight that as Hotel Del Coronado is a tourist stop you are part of the sightseeeing tour while lying by the pool! Finally I would like to to point out that while we found 1500 Ocean and ENO wine bar to be excellent experiences, the starbucks team located on the ground floor area near the bar should be sent on a customer service programme to remind them that friendliness is the key to postive guest experiences.

We went to this hotel with visiting family from the east coast, kids, teenagers, young adults. This was right after New Years eve. The hotel was very nice, very festive and the best part was an ice skating rink on the beach! Our east coast relatives were in awe, plus the weather was gorgeous this week.

The hotel is VERY large and has many, many guest, so its pretty busy, but the beach is beautiful and spacious. The rooms were very nice and comfortable.

This is a great trip for a family reunion, maybe not for honeymooners?

"The Del", as they call it, was built in 1888, and the orginal building is obviously old, yet well maintained.

There is so much to like here. It is elegant. The outdoor bar, dining, and activities are great. Service is good, although it can be slow at times. In the original building, they still have an elevator operator, although I suspect it would not be difficult to reconfigure the elevator so one would no longer be required. But, it is fun.

I was part of a conference, and they tried to upsell me a better room for $50 or $100 per night. I said no, and was given a rediculously small room. Being an old hotel, all the rooms vary in size. The bathroom had been remodeled with very nice fixtures, but they were too big. The toilet faced the sink cabinet, and was so close that I could not sit straight on it. Also, two nights while I was there, the water was shut off during the night, with no warning or explanation.

Overall, I love this hotel, and would stay again.
