I was loving this hotel last night, Surry the late night front desk lady, was so sweet and nice. She gave me room at a great price, she was kind and accommodating. The room is clean and way nicer than motel 6. Everything was perfect till I called in the morning. I asked Mary the day time front desk to do a late check out at 1pm. She told me no and was very rude, she was yelling at me when I told her that I was offered a check out time at 1pm. She hung the phone. I called again to ask for towels she answered "what you want, im going to hang up again!" I never been treated like this ever at any hotels. She puts a bad name to this hotel. Once she is removed I will come back to this hotel.

We have stayed here before. had nice rooms and nice staff. We were there just a few days ago. First the ooficeave us a room that was non smoking. We told him waanted smoking. When we went back to the office we told him smoking room and we wanted 2 nd floor. He gave us lower room. The room smelled of cat urine and mold. Nothing was good about it. The room was so small. They alread took the money from our checking account so we could't go get another room. We told him that we would never come back.

The Premier Inn of Concord California is located within walking distance to public transportation (BART) as well as the towns downtown area where there are tons of restaurants, stores, and a movie theater. It is also located within walking distance to the friend we were visiting that week.

While the premier inn is a clean and convenient place to stay, it is by no means glamorous or modern. They have not updated anything in the rooms or on the grounds within the last two decades AT LEAST (not even the shower heads that are more appropriate to hose off elephants at the circus). And the pool is unusable in my opinion.

It seems most of the guests at this hotel are permanent residents. We saw hot plates in rooms, posters hanging on the walls of some rooms, and even a grill parked outside one of the rooms when we were there. The staff were accommodating and we did not have any problems with anyone during our stay. The grounds are patrolled by a police officer after dark (not sure what that means).

I would stay here again because of the location, but I would hope that they splurge and get some new shower heads, pillows, sheets/blankets/bedspreads before I need to again. If my friend didn't live within walking distance, I probably would stay somewhere closer to the Metropolitan San Fransisco area to lower the transportation costs.

TIPS:
1 - You MUST request a non-smoking room (I made the mistake of not doing so for one of our nights, and it was BAAAAD).
2 - Bring your own pillow if you can.
3 - check your credit card statement after your stay (they charge one night to hold your reservation and then refund it but then recharge it when you check-in... seemed odd, but worked out correctly in the end).
