Our family of four stayed here 4 nights over New Years' weekend in a two-room suite. Though it had an odd lay-out, our room was comfortable enough, somewhat stylish and modern-looking, and had what we needed. Though not spotless, daily house-keeping was efficient, towels and sheets really smelled clean, and they were prompt and courteous when we required an extra set of towels. The pool area was fine, if small, but the exercise room was spacious and very well equipped. The staff is very friendly, which makes a difference when the food service goofed twice. The staff and management made every effort to rectify the situation, however, so our overall impressions are basically favorable. Dining here is incredibly expensive with food quality fine but not exceptional; though there are not many good options right around the hotel, the prices really motivated us to look elsewhere. The location of this hotel was a major plus for attending the Rose Parade in Pasadena, which is why we chose this property. We were there in 25 minutes with no issues, as most parade attendees are coming in from different directions.

Pet Friendly! The pooches can come too! And only 15 minutes to Universal Studios, so it was great to check in our room first, go have fun at Universal Studios, wax museum, and come back to our room so fast. The hotels near Universal got 2-3 stars, and that worried me. This hotel has free, ample, safe parking, and has a fantastic outlet mall with Reebok, Michael Kors, Wilsons Leather, Nordstrom Rack, ect. located right across the street with a food court. Starbucks, Panda Express, Sabaro Pizza, the usual. And Carl's Jr. just down the street. Never had to move my car the next day and lose my good parking space, everything we needed was right across the street. Many families with small children & strollers buzzing through the mall. This 5 star hotel is worth an extra 10 min. drive outside of Hollywood's 2-3 star rated properties.

I enjoyed our stay at the hotel immensely. It was a nice surprise.

The rooms are very comfortable and stylish. We had a one king bedroom two room suite. Great size. It is a newer hotel so everything looks great. Check in was easy. The warm cookies are always a plus. We enjoyed the hot tub and pool area. It is not super large but it was perfect for us. The inner courtyard was like a little oasis.

The breakfast was good, but a little pricey. I wish it was included like the embassy suites. Nice wait staff.

The area is right by an outlet mall so there are lots of great stores. I felt very safe in the area. I was a little nervous about the area because it was unfamiliar to me. We could get to anywhere quite quickly. It was easy to get to the Rose Bowl and the airport.

Overall we thought I was a great property at a fair price with plenty of extras. I recommend it without hesitation.

Nothing wrong here except really slow elevators and a poor restaurant. Surprisingly they do really good breakfast, but the food at dinner always disappoints and drinks are incredibly expensive for this level of hotel. Good staff helps make up a bit but they really need to work on the food.
