“Worst Holiday Inn I Ever Been To!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 February 2011

Exercise room has a towel rack but no towels on it; no temperature control in exercise room; lobby men's room had no toilet paper in there & garbage can was overflowing; hotel has no business center, just a computer on a desk in the lobby right next to the front outside doors; our room was on the side of the hotel that faces towards train tracks which trains go on several times/hour all day & night; room had a musty odor to it; same exact food 2 days in a row for the breakfast they provided

“This place wreaked of cigarette smoke”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 February 2011

Cigarette smell was everywhere it seemed in the hotel, but not specifically in the room. Everything was generally clean and fine otherwise. Freeway real close was noisy. Not much in the vicinity for good food/eats however although downtown Riverside just a bit away. People working here seemed nice enough.

“Comfortable hotel stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 December 2010

I stayed there from Dec 9 to Dec 12, 2010, I honestly did have a comfortable stay here,
The beds are incredible , I definitly got a good night sleep, since it was on the freeway side, not on the railroad tracks side. Just make sure you stay at this hotel and tell front desk to let you stay on the freeway side. The rooms have everything you need, from Iron, Microwave, Fridge and more. The only problem I had was with the entry door to my room, it was room 241. The door didn't open with my room key, until I scanned it 3 times.
But it didn't matter to me that much. Over rall everything about this hotel is perfect. Enjoyed the full breakfast here, from eggs to yogart to bagels to muffins, to biscuits and sausage and cinnebons. I recommend this hotel to everyone and anyone, perfect for all occasions.

“Horrible hotel for light sleepers - freeway on one side, train tracks on other”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 September 2010

The worst Holiday Inn Express I have stayed in. The window units are loud and vibrate loudly when cycling on and off. The doors have chain locks as opposed to latch locks. The beds are very uncomfortable. I asked for a room on the back of the hotel because I am a light sleeper. I have been here for about 1.5 hours now and at least eight trains have come by blaring their horns. I called the front desk and asked to check out with no charge and was told the management could not be reached so I would be charged for a full night's stay. What a nightmare. Avoid this horrible hotel. There is a beautiful Holiday Inn Express in Moreno Valley. I will be staying there tomorrow evening.

“Bad experience & not up to Holiday Inn Ex. standards”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 May 2010

I have been a fan of Holiday Inn Express hotels for sometime now, Unfortunately, the Colton location was a big disappointment. The train tracks are located behind the hotel and the train horns blow ALL NIGHT LONG!!!!!! I was told the next morning by the front desk that I should've requested a room an the opposite side of the building to avoid the noise ?!? I'm obviously not from Colton and did not know. Eventhough I requested a non-smoking room, the entire building has an overwhelming smell of smoke. The only ice machine is near the lobby-inconvenient. The breakfast was decent.
