I stayed one evening on business, and chose this hotel largely because of its location next door to where my meeting was.
The hotel is a pretty good best western: it was clean, wel maintained and mostly quiet. "Mostly quiet" because the in room AC was very load and, if you know Clovis, you're gonna need it.
There is a small breakfast area with complimentary Fresno Bee and the usual breakfast that isn't that great. Not really worse than other motel/hotels offering simlar, but nothing to write home about. (Except maybe that I would have tossed the bannas a day prior to my being there.)
The other demerit comes from the hallway, which I thought had some kind of off-odor (smoke?) although my room did not have that problem so other than a few moments while walking it didn't bother me.
The room itself was comfortable, but nothing special either. I am not a fan of bathrooms that don't have a counter or something to put my glasses on while showering, so a small table or something could be added next to the tub and I would like it.
The outside is very nice, and the pool was a welcome addition due to the heat. The front desk staff was very pleasant and helpful in giving me a couple extra hours to check out so that I could get to and from the meeting, and still have time for a fast splash in the pool before leaving.
So, if you are in the area (and there did seem to be a very nice antique store/small boutique/restaurant loaded quaint downtown right next door), this is a perfectly nice hotel to look at.
