“Relaxing hideaway surrounded by natural beauty enhanced by friendly staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 October 2010

Whitehawk Ranch Lodge Cabins are an ideal vacation spot. Within a short distance, the Sierra Buttes and Lakes Basin Recreation Area are studded with miles of hiking trails, clear mountain lakes, and quaint towns offering various recreation opportunities, museums, quality restaurants, upscale shopping, community events, friendly locals, several golf courses, and overnight accommodations from luxury to quaint to National Forest camping. We like White Hawk Ranch so much that we spend almost a month there each year--spring and autumn. The cabins offer a quiet retreat, are very commodious, are kept sparkling clean, have a lovely porch to sit on to view the meadows. Both children and adults and pets find all their needs met. Breakfasts are included with the room fee and are always delicious. The staff is wonderful. A Special Events Co-ordinator is available to arrange catering for weddings, parties, etc. Our oldest son was married on the lawn in front of the Lodge last summer. We rented the cabins for three wonderful days--all our guests had a beautiful time. Would I recommend Whitehawk Ranch to anyone wishing to relax and enjoy a true vacation--without any hesitation, yes! The Reno Airport provides great air arrivals--just one hour away. Amtrak makes a stop in Truckee--just 40 minutes away. Kudos to Jerry and Mary Crowe who serve their guests excellently.

“The Ulitmate Setting for a Sierra Wedding”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 July 2010

We took over the entire lodge for some of our friends who came to our daughter's wedding at Whitehawk and EVERYONE loved it! The cabins, meals, staff, setting, all were way above eveyone's expectations. Most people kept asking "How did you find this place"? They had never been here and now wanted to come back. If you are looking for a beautiful, restful, FUN place to spend some time that has a super attentive staff, this is the place to come to. We suggest the Lodge to all our friends who might want to come to the Feather River Area. It is centrally located, close to the Lakes Basin Recreation Area, and you are right off the Whitehawk Golf Course. Tennis courts and swiming pool are available on the propery as well.

“Beauty, relaxation, and a touch of luxury”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 June 2010

We love this place. This will be our third annual stay at the Lodge at Whitehawk and we're so looking forward to it.

Things we love:
- The cabins are spacious, tasteful, and very comfortable with nice views
- It's very dog friendly -- our dog has the best time there
- Breakfasts are delicious and filling
- Jerry, Mary Ann, and their staff are friendly, gracious hosts
- We can use the nearby pool -- perfect after a long day hiking
- The area is spectacular and Whitehawk is a great base for exploration
- Exhausted from a full day of amazing hiking, nestled in a cozy wooden Adirondack chair on our cabin's porch, sipping a beverage, watching the sunset, petting our dog -- bliss

We've looked at most of the other accommodations in the Graeagle / Lakes Basin area. The Lodge at Whitehawk wins, hands down.

“We love The Lodge at Whitehawk!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 June 2010

We were married at the Lodge in June and I could not have asked for a more wonderful experience. Gerry and Mary Ann are gracious and accommodating hosts and Janet did an excellent job coordinating my wedding and being the go-to person for all of the many details. They went above and beyond to make sure the day was a complete success. My family and friends loved their cabins, the Lodge and the surrounding area and I am sure many will be returning. It is difficult to find words that express how amazing it is to wake up in the morning and step out to the magnificent views and clean mountain air of Plumas County. There are countless activities nearby and many small, charming towns with excellent food and unique shops. While we have a family that lives close by the Lodge, that is not the only reason that we will be coming back to visit for years to come. Thank you to Gerry, Mary Ann and Janet for the experience of a lifetime.

“Fantastic!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 September 2009

This is definitely a place we will return to. The location is incredibly beautiful....a hidden paradise of California. Jerry and Mary Ann are fantastic hosts. My husband got a flat while he was mountain biking and Jerry was in his truck to go pick him up before I had a chance to get off the phone. They are so friendly and attentive. By the end of the weekend I felt like we had known them for years. The food was spectacular and the cabins are clean, well decorated and private. This was one of our best vacations yet. Can't wait to go back.
