We stopped here for a couple of quiet, relaxing days as a break in a rather hectic road trip. We couldn't have picked a better place. Mike and Kathey are so welcoming and Shamus is adorable. The view of the lake from the deck is beautiful and we enjoyed our evenings watching the sunset. Our room was spotless and attractively decorated. One final note, the breakfasts in this place are mouthwatering three course meals! Fabulous.

The Bungalow used to be a saloon and dance bar which has been carefully converted into a home, now serving as a b&b. There are three guest rooms, two with jacuzzi tubs. The rooms themselves are nice, but not particularly romantic (though the beds are very comfy and the tubs very relaxing), but the house is really gorgeous and comfortable. In the great room there are spaces for reading, watching TV and playing games. Outside, overlooking the lake, there are deck after deck with lounge chairs, hammocks, an outdoor kitchn/bbq and even a dock. We'd have fun rowing their small boat if I wasn't so paranoid about tipping over.

Breakfast was very nice, as is the couple who run it. In all, this is a very nice place to stay.

The Bungalow is the standard of how a Bed & Breakfast should feel and operate. Charm, gracious hosts, beautiful setting, excellent food ... it does it all, and it does it well. Even my wife, who is allergic to dogs, loved the place! Shamus, the canine member of the family, is so well behaved that he refuses to enter a guest room unless invited. Two thumbs up from finicky reviewers.

PS Don't challenge Mike to a game of cribbage unless you know what you're doing...

My boyfriend and I just came back from a wonderful and relaxing weekend at The Bungalow in Clear Lake, CA. Mike and Kathey are very gracious and wonder hosts who own a beautiful B&B overlooking the lake. We stayed in The Wisteria Room, which is the least expensive room out of the 3 rooms they have. The room was spacious, clean, and oh so comfortable. Just a note – all of their rooms faces the highway, so if you are a light sleeper, pls be sure to bring ear plugs. It’s not super noisy – just road noise that could bother some people.

The B&B is very airy and spacious with a lot of common areas for guests to roam around. They also have a deck with sofas and chairs for us to enjoy a lazy evening looking out at the lake. The breakfasts that Kathey serves are very filling and delicious and they always have snacks and cookies for us to enjoy. Each of the rooms have a bin in their fridge to store our drinks, food, etc. There is free wi-fi, but with a beautiful place like this – we hardly felt the need or desire to check into how work was doing.

My boyfriend and I really needed this relaxing vacation getaway and The Bungalow was our perfect escape. We would highly recommend this B&B to anyone!
