Very disappointing experience. Please note, we did not have our wedding reception here. This review is based strictly on our experience on trying to schedule a reception and how they handle business at Pacific Palms.

Long story short, got hung off by a catering sales rep and never apologize.

I would recommend Pacific Palms to provide more training for the catering sales reps and basic code of ethic before allowing the sales to work with clients. Considering how much bad information we were given, I can only imagine what kind of problems we would encounter had we signed the contract to have the reception there.

Pro

Service – Friendly staff willing to go above and beyond.
Location – Nice neighborhood with easy access to freeway.
Safe – The room comes with a safe that will hold an ipad.

Con

Cleanliness – During our 2nd night, the room maintenance crew replaced a “new” bed sheet that comes with a huge stain, approximately 4 inch diameter. I am not sure if that’s a blood or a wine stain, but it was very obvious that the crew decided to ignore it. Floor is also unclean. I do expect a clean room if I am staying at a resort.

Bathroom – Very small. The shower door doesn’t seal well.

Fridge – Small, and loaded with prefilled merchandise. No freezer.

AC - Old and not automated. You can't set a specific temperature.

TV – Old and small.


Overall
I stayed at a Holiday Inn nearby before at a lower cost. I would still choose to stay at Holiday Inn even if Pacific Palm Resort offers the same price.

We stayed here since we were doing our wedding photo shoot here. I never knew about this hotel until that point. You wouldn't stay here as a tourist unless you are visiting family in the areas since the main tourist attractions are not that close by. I'd also say the grounds and the lobby are nicer than the rooms are.

This hotel is situated on top of a big hill so you have amazing and commanding views of the LA basins all around. On a clear day (i.e after it rains) the views are astonishing.

We saw a lot of wedding and banquets happening at this hotel and I assume that is where it gets a large part of its business.

The rooms are decent - like one would expect in a Marriott. The staff was pleasant and helpful and we got good wedding pictures.

We had room service during our time here and it was fine - outside of that - can't comment on the food at this place.

Nice property and good place for a large wedding or event. Ok rooms and smaller bathrooms - dated/need work. Careful if you stay on the side with a view b/c the noise from evening is events is harsh until midnight.
