The internet information about the distance to Yosemite is not proper, expect about 70 -80 miles (a good 2 hour drive). The hotel is not the cleanest place on the earth, we had bugs (ants) problem in our room.
The breakfast area is generic, with just 3 tables, you have to wait or while standing - have your toast with an artificial butter, corn syrup based jam and coffee like drink. .
During our 2 day stay we noticed a permanent shortage of milk. I think the quota was no more then 1 small jar of milk per hour, which had to satisfy appetite of all hotel guests during the breakfast.

The swimming pool: we did not see any single person using it , the pool looked dirty

Expedia should scrutinize few misleading " fantastic reviews" regarding this place.

This hotel is right off the freeway and has a great Steakhouse right next door. We got one of the remodeled rooms with the Flat Screens. The hotel was super clean and the beds were super comfortable. This has been the nicest Days Inn I have ever been to. They had like 9 HBOs and a 100 DirecTv Channels to pick from. I love movies and to watch TV so that was great. Not only the rooms are nice but great location when traveling to Yosemite as it was only about 1 hour and 15 minutes to the park. The customer service was also great and they even had Waffles for breakfast.

My daughter and I stayed here for two nights thinking this would be a good place since we wanted to hike Yosemite National Park. The microwave didn't work and the tv was not working properly and it smelled so we switched rooms the second night. That room was worse than the first room. There was ants and other bugs crawling all over the place and were crawling everywhere in the bathroom. We brought our suitcases up and quickly took them back down to the car. The room smelled extremely bad of mould. Needless to say we both got very sick We left at 6am just to get out of there. The bed skirt smelled like they never cleaned it. We did complain to Days Inn when we got home and they sent us a standard letter saying how they were not responsible and I should contact the owners, it was very ridiculous and showed they couldn't care less about patrons. We would never stay there or any Days Inn after this experience.

We had 2 rooms which were clean with comfortable beds and the A/C worked very well. Those are my priorities and they were well met here. Everything else worked, though there was not enough plugs to use the fridge, coffee pot, and microwave at the same time.

Chowchilla is a cow town so expect a bit of cow manure smell outside, but it smelled fine inside. It was available and very affordable for being so close to Yosemite. I would use it again if I could not stay in Mariposa, which is where i prefer to stay when in the area.

I checked behind the headboard for bed bugs, because that was mentioned in another review, but found no evidence that any had ever been there, just the usual dust. I wear earplugs when sleeping so I did not run into any noise issues. The hotel is near a freeway so noise can be an issue to some.

This is a perfect stop for the night place.
