This is across the street from the Days Inn which had worst reviews and is about $10-15 cheaper.
Room was nice and roomy, clearn, it had 2 comfortable queens, no kings available, bottom floor in the corner, parking very close to room. The internet never did work, despite a couple calls, I gave up since I could do without (but it did cause me to lower my overall rating). Chico is this smallish(90+K) tree-covered city so the location is the best part about this hotel, 3 blocks from the city center park where they have friday nite bands. When school is out, it is just the locals with a relaxed dancing vib, the band was really excellent, they did rock, blues, funk, folk, some originals All the good places to eat are nearby. Found a good steak at 5th street, then chilled for the outside tunes that proceeded despite the threat of rain. But the school, a brick bult, ivy laden CS University is beautify, just another 3 blocks from the center to the edge of campus, where the landscaping is clearly first rate. You do need to be on the watch, there are some questionable types hanging on corner or at the salvation army across the street..
