My wife and I stayed here on the weekend of Jan. 17th. for two nights. We thought the hotel was definitely worth the price and you can't really beat the location. We could walk to my wife's favorite restaurant. The room had a microwave and refrigerator which we used throughout our stay and the staff was super friendly even to a bunch of ole timers like us.

I thought some of the previous reviews were a little unfair, so I thought I would post my experience.

I have never been treated so badly! I made reservation directly with Salvador, Front Desk who took my credit card information. I arrived after a very long drive and I come to find he gave my room away. Leaving me stranded with no other hotels with rooms. He was rude and did not even care. Single female with no options he found humor in stressful situation. He had the nerve to offer me a room under be construction with sink rip off the wall and on the floor with power tools and tried to charge me. All I can say do yourself a favor and book somewhere else!

I'm not some traveler that needs to be pampered, and I've stayed in some lousy places, but the indifference of the management here is what earns this terrible review. To be fair, there were a couple of people who worked here that seemed to care and made an effort, but they were overshadowed by the weekend manager that didn't care at all and had an attitude. The free Wi-Fi was a joke, because it was really spotty about when it worked and, when it did, it had a really weak signal. The microwave didn't work, the buttons on the phone kept sticking, the water pressure in the shower was weak and the TV had few channels. Not great, but I can live with that stuff if I want to save a few bucks. What I couldn't deal with was the crack house atmosphere around here on a weekend night. 15 people that looked like they were gang members were going in and out of one or two rooms, making all kinds of noise, cussing and banging on doors and skateboarding outside our room. The manager who was in charge did little to handle it, telling them that he'd charge them more if anybody checked out. The activity continued through the night unabated. When I spoke to the same manager about it the next morning (complaining that the noise kept up until 2:30 or 3am) he walked away from me. Terrible customer service. They truly don't care. Unusual for the Days Inn chain. I checked out 2 days early. I'll never stay in this rathole again.

We had an awful experience at the Day's Inn in Chico. It started with a broken sink and wet carpet when we checked in. That would have been ok if they had just changed our room but the office manager was very rude. He asked us (middle aged folks) what we did to the carpet when we had minutes before checked in. We changed rooms and later were awake from 2 am to 3 am with loud, drunk partiers right outside the window. We never heard any manager trying to quiet them down. In the morning when we checked out with the same guy still in the office we commented on the noise and lack of action on their part. The manager just glibbly replied "better luck next time!" There will never be a "next time!"
