I chose this place as a surprise destination for our anniversary. Deb was so helpful with providing me with information. She is such a lively and sweet natured hostess who made us feel right at home the moment we met her. She showed us to our lodge (#2) and demonstrated how to operate the hot tub, fireplace and pointed out everything we needed to know for a comfortable stay.
The lodges are VERY clean, neat, and thoughtfully decorated. Our bed was so comfortable, and the linens were very cozy. The kitchen was well stocked and roomy, though we never ended up cooking. Dinner from Mazzoli's is a MUST (Delivered to the lodge in cast iron pans and homemade goodness...you must have the apple pie! There is even a menu in the room to make ordering easy.) We had such an enjoyable time relaxing that we never turned on the TV... and the star gazing is amazing! We hope to return to this beautiful country with our families next time. :)
**Note about the County Hearth** Nice little resturant in Cedarville with friendly staff, but we had a few surprises. The breakfast gravey is more like a lumpy version of Thanksgiving brown gravey, and not very yummy. Also, the french toast, while hearty and mostly good, is not made with cinnamon and is rather plain...I did request cinnamon the second morning and it was better. The hasbrowns are stringy, perfectly borwned, and super yummy. Eater beware, the portions are VERY large. The half french toast is like a whole french toast order somewhere else. You will leave with a full tummy. :)
