“Great location, great price, great hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 September 2011

I found this hotel to be perfect for my stay. I had assignments in Carson and Asuza and I've had excellent experiences in Extended StayAmerica locations in the past so after reading the reviews I decided to give it a shot. It worked out very well.

There is literally nothing like having a full kitchen at your disposal. Not only does it save money on not having to dine at restaurants 3+ times a day, but you can eat much more healthy foods which is a huge benefit for me. The one problem with this room is that the spot where the microwave was supposed to be was empty. It must have recently conked out and hadn't been replaced yet. I never use a microwave in a hotel room, and rarely even at home, so this was no problem for me. The only thing about it is that some of the lights were out, most likely caused when the microwave went on the blink. Again, this wasn't a huge problem, certainly not enough to request another room. I mentioned it on the comment card and told the front desk person, who were all super, super nice.

There is a Starbucks literally right next door, and plenty of well-lit parking. I thought it was a great location; easy-on, easy-off the roads and in the middle of everything. The bathroom and room in general were spotlessly cleaned and well-stocked. I'd stay here again in a minute and would recommend it to anyone. Extended StayAmerica will hopefully expand into more states, and I'm eyeing up their Canadian chain for an upcoming 2-week Toronto trip.

Room Tip: Sometimes these hotels reserve the top floor for smoking rooms. I'm not sure if that's the...

“Great inexpensive place to stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 June 2010

I stayed at this location last night. It was a last-minute whim for my partner and I to get away from the hustle and bustle. I booked the room online for $52.00 for 1 night. Other hotels in the area were at least $79.00.
The room was HUGE, had a microwave, full refrigerator, coffee maker in the kitchen.
The room was very clean and quiet.
I would stay here again and reccomend it to anyone going to the South Bay,

“Extremely disappointing”

We stayed here for 2 nights. Definitely was not worth the price we paid per night which was about $110/nightly.

It took us about 15 minutes to finally get some service from the front desk so we could check in. Apparently there was some issue with a seedy looking couple and the manager, they were arguing about something back and forth in regards to their room. Not really a nice first impression.

When we FINALLY checked in, we were welcomed by the musty odor of the room. After doing a quick inventory check, I noticed that the room was not fully stocked with the essential items (ie: shampoo & conditioner, extra tissue paper, blow dryer, clean forks and spoons, etc). It's a good thing we brought our own blow dryer because my hair cannot live without using a blow dryer. The bed was EXTREMELY uncomfortable and hard and my boyfriend and I both woke up with back pain, so the next day I requested additional blankets and pillows to try to alleviate the discomfort. The receptionist calls me back and informs me that they DO NOT have extra blankets or pillows, but would I like her to put a request in for me in the morning? UHH NO because I'm checking out in the morning. Are you serious? You don't have extra blankets/pillows? Thanks for nothing.

The only reason why I booked this hotel was because it offered a kitchenette, but we didn't even use it (except the microwave and refridgerator) so that was pretty much useless. I guess the only good thing about this place was that they offered wi-fi but it cost $5 a day.

  • Liked — It had the cheapest going rate at the time of travel.
  • Disliked — Lack of service accomodation.

“Never staying here again!”

I requested a non smoking king room and when I checked in she gave me a double that smelled like someone chain smoked in it for a week straight. I went down to get a different room and there was only one other available. She stated that the first room I had (was) a non smoking room. My second room had also been smoked in. It was like a motel room. I stayed 3 nights uncomfortable nights. The bed was very hard. The person in the room next to me smoked and it would come into my room via the vents. The kitchenette had service for 2 with no dish soap to clean with. This is more like a 1 star hotel. The outside looks nice, but does not represent the interior AT ALL. My only good comment is that the staff was nice.

“Loved it at Extended Stay Carson”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 September 2007

My family and I were visiting from Honolulu, Hawaii for a long needed vacation we arrived from HNL on 08/29/07 then drove to Las Vegas to start our vacation, we drove back to LA on the 09/01/07 we arrived when front desk was closed, but the night person that helped us made it quick and we were in bed resting from a long drive in no time. We went to Six Flags Magic Mountain, Disneyland, Universal Studios, watched a sitcom taping in Century City, Shopping in LA which was very convinent with hotel near the freeway. The rooms were excellent and spacious with the kitchenette that came in very helpful with the group we had for breakfast on the go before each activity. A security personnel was always there to keep a eye for things. The housekeeping were very helpful, the frondesk staff, Estella, Benita (hope I spelled that correct, sorry), Erica, Kathy, never got the name of the night guy, also the GM Francisco were always smiling as we were on our way out or in back from wherever we were at, they played a big role in making our stay a very happy and comfortable one, definitely a home away from home, I would recommend this hotel to friends, family on whatever type of visit it should whether business or vacation, thanks again for everything guys.
