“Good value for weekend getaway”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2012

Just spent a night here using a Groupon. We were quite satisfied with our stay. The room was clean, the bed comfortable, and the fireplace a nice touch. Just a couple of blocks from the heart of Carmel made for a nice relaxing time. The staff are very nice and accomodating. If you want a nice, budget place to stay in Carmel, you should consider the Dolphin Inn.

“Comfy beds and cozy inn”

The Dolphin Inn is by no means "super fancy". The beds however are incredibly comfortable and the Inn is very clean with nice huge flat screen TVs. It is very conveniently located and a perfect launching off point for Carmel. It does however, have a bar in the hotel (one of the few in carmel that stays open late) which means there can occasionally be some loud noises at closing time, but really not a big deal at all. I did have to switch rooms because of a loud noise near the kitchen (room 17, would not recommend that one), and was moved to a MUCH better room (26) which was perfect. So if you recommend a room-- ask for a balcony (unless you are unable to climb stairs as it doesn't seem to have an elevator).

Room Tip: not near the kitchen room 17-- less nice than the others. recommend balcony (if you are able to clim...

“Absolutley Fabulous”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 January 2012

The rooms were very nice and extremley comfortable. The fireplace was an excellent touch that added to our enjoyment. The bed was very comfortable. The staff was the best. We have stayed there many times over the years and will continue to make it our home base when we are in Carmel.

“Great location, nice room.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 November 2011

There are many reasons why we love The Dolphin Inn. The location and on-property parking are probably the most important, but the rooms, the staff, the brought-to-your-room breakfast are also highlights. We had a lovely fire in the fireplace each night which was especially nice on those cool evenings in Carmel. We'll be back!

“Nice”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 November 2011

The Inn's location is great; we enjoy being located in the heart of Carmel so that we can walk to the theatre, restaurants and shops. The Inn's staff is lovely.
