The location, the accommodations and the food were just what we were hoping for. I was especially impressed with the quality & presentation of the meals. The staff were helpful and friendly. The only thing that was missing was a guest laundry facility. I will vacation at this hotel again.

Beautiful, comfortable, delicious food, great service and treatment by staff, and very affordable. You will not be disappointed. Great location too. "Reyna" at the desk was very kind and accommodating. I did not have a reservation and they still treated me like royalty. Thank you Reyna and Carmel Mission Inn. My stay was wonderful. I've told family and friends about this hotel and I will be back.

We wanted to visit the Monarch Butterfly refuge in Pacific Grove and see some other sights. Having received an e-mail offer at an exceptionally good price, we decided to book two nights in January. The rate we got was a little higher than the minimum advertised (probably because we booked so close to our travel date), but it wasn't out of line for Carmel. When we arrived, we were a bit apprehensive about the location (just off Highway One, tucked in an "island" between two shopping areas), but we found quickly that we had made a great choice. The service was outstanding and the facilities were better than expected, with spacious and comfortable rooms. There was no noise from Highway One when our balcony door was closed and not enough to bother us when we enjoyed a beautiful sunset from our balcony. The walls between rooms seemed to be very well insulated for sound. We found the location to be ideal for our trip -- between Pacific Grove and Point Lobos State Nature Reserve, and only a short drive from the Carmel Mission and Carmel By the Sea shopping areas. Although the Inn does offer breakfast at a reduced price, I decided to wander through the Barnyard, a shopping center that caters to tourists. I found a delightful coffee shop that was open for breakfast. As my wife likes to "veg" in the morning, she used the coffee maker in our room and enjoyed a continental breakfast of items we'd purchased in a local grocery and kept in the room's refrigerator. We did eat dinner in the Inn's lounge and restuarant. The Fish and Chips were so good, we returned the second night for more! (Note: the chips are not french fries.) We will definitely return, especially to be close to Point Lobos -- an area we hope to hike a lot in time to come.
