Our recent visit to the forest inn was for our 25th anniversary. It was a perfect place for a romantic getaway. However we wouldn't hesitate to return with out dogs and kids. This is a place where everyone is welcome!!!!

Love this place, it is my favorite B&B (and I have been to A LOT of them). The staff is wonderful. This inn is also very dog-friendly, it is my dog's favorite place to stay!

The Lamplighter Inn has a great location in Carmel, close to the beach and close to downtown. We felt very comfortable and welcomed to the Inn. Peggy was a delight and was very helpful in giving advice on dining and activities. The room was large and clean and gave me a feeling of being at the beach. Every night there was a wine and cheese reception for the guests which was a great touch. Also a light breakfast is served in the morning offering breads, cereal, oatmeal, hardboiled eggs, yogurt, fruit, coffee, orange juice and a few others. Perfect!

Carmel itself is a great town with excellent choices for dining and shopping. A beautiful place with a great beach. The perfect getaway at the perfect Inn. HIGHLY recommend the Lamplighter!

Our visit at the Lamp Lighter began with a lovely wine and cheese get together by the outdoor fireplace, hosted by Mary Ann who was most gracious and welcoming hostess. The hospitality was continued the next morning with breakfast on the lovely outdoor patio, surrounded by beautiful flowers. We were warmly greeted by Peggy and Bobby, who made us feel most welcome and made sure that we had everything we needed. The hotel is a short walk to the beach, and is among amazing shops and restaurants. Our room was lovely, the bed very comfy and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit . We look forward to our next visit.
