Small but nice room. It is a bit of an older establishment. Not glamorous or glitzy, but sufficient. Continental breakfast was fine, not extraordinary. Location is superb, a 2 block walk to Ocean Avenue, 10 minutes to the beach.

Not much value here. Overpriced for a very basic motel feel of a room. Nothing to look forward to here.

We were driving the Pacific Highway one didn't have a room booked so stopped T the tourist office for a recommendation...we weren't disappointed. It wasn't expensive (with breakfast included), the room was chintzy and the real fire was gorgeous.
It's right in the centre of Carmel which is a GORGEOUS place - we loved it.

This is the first time we stayed at this B&B. It's located two blocks away from Ocean Avenue, the main shopping street in Carmel. We love coming to Carmel and the Monterey Pennisula and have stayed ay several hotels and B&B's. Carmel Fireplace Inn is very cute and the room was clean. You get free internet access and cable TV. If you like watching old movies you can check out a VHS video free from the front office. The staff at the front were very nice and friendly. It also includes a continental breakfast with an assortment of muffins, breads, bagels and fruit. Beverages include coffee, tea, juice and milk. Overall, we think this is a great place forth price, $79/night.
