Your stay at the Green Lantern will depend upon the room you are assisgned. It is a collection of attached cabins on lovely grounds. However the windows are very small with no overhead fans. In warm weather, it is not sufficient ventilation. In cool weather, it can be very cool. The breakfasts are adequate however no home cooked baked goods as might be anticipated.

We stayed here 14 years ago in December . When we put Carmel on our travel plans for the summer I had to come back. This time we brought our 3 children along for the fun. It was just as wonderful as the last time. Breakfast is included and it is terrific and quite a spread. We stayed in the cutest room Redwood. It featured a loft for the kids and we were downstairs in a super comfy bed. It is an older property but that is truly where all the charm lies. It is only a few blocks from ocean avenue and the beach. Such a quiet, peaceful and lovely spot. The flowers are beautiful and we highly recommend it!

We stayed here with our friends from the city and while the staff were extremely friendly and helpful the rooms were very noisy. We could hear every single moment from next door, upstairs and across in an other building. Breakfasts were great - plenty of fresh fruit, cereal, waffles if you wanted them, toast, muffins and bagels and a hot dish each morning - more than enough. Plenty of outdoor seating to enjoy the sunshine. Just really noisy rooms so be prepared.

Quaint, older cottages set in the heart of Carmel gave us a quiet and comfortable stay. In a pleasant location with an easy walk round Carmel to find restaurants etc. The self service breakfast was plentiful . Loved the waffle machine, lots of fresh fruit and the coffee was not bad either. Room was a little on the small side but a cosy feel made us choose it over some of the more spacious rooms on offer.
