“Great place...and historical, too!”

We enjoyed this place very much. The staff is excellent, and will be helpful in locating places to eat. The neat thing about the Pine Inn is its history. It was rolled into place on pine logs not long after Carmel was established as an coastal Bohemian (arts and music) kind of place. The adjoining restaurant is excellent if you enjoy Italian cuisine. Nicely located on Ocean Ave, it is close to Carmel's action. Overall, we give it an excellent rating.

My wife and I stayed here on a cold rainy day in January. Locals (I suppose) and hearty tourists. Very enjoyable, B&B style.

“Wonderful, friendly, and caring staff at the Pine Inn”

We booked another hotel online. Somehow they lost our reservation and we arrived from Southern California to find we had no room. We were offered another option at a lesser hotel which proved to be very unacceptable and quite a distance away from the beach. I called several places with no luck. Finally someone suggested the Pine Inn and out of frustration I called. They offered me a room immediately at a very competitive rate. When I arrived I was struck by the old school elegance. I mentioned what a rotten week I had...my husband had emergency angioplasty 6 days ago...and we had so looked forward getting away and reevaluating our lives. The manager instantly said she was upgrading out room to a full ocean view with less stairs to climb and no up charge!!!!!!! This is a vintage establishment, dripping in old world Victorian charm...it does not have elevators. But it's incredibly clean...and the view!!!!...just wonderful!!!! The porter was friendly and helped carry our belongings and he was delightful! The turn down service and Sees Candy mints were a pleasant surprise. We are blessed to have found the perfect place to recover and evaluate, with an incredible staff who takes care of you in every way possible, professionally but with a human touch!!!!! What could have been a nightmare became the best thing to ever happen to us in Carmel!!!

Room Tip: Ask for an ocean view room...truly lovely and the best in Carmel...

“Lovely stay in Carmel”

We booked pine inn after reading all the reviews on trip advisor. We were looking for a nice, clean and upscale location in Carmel, that is centrally located and that can accommodate a family of three adults with some privacy forour adult daughter. Pine inn was a great success. The room (a one bedroom suite with two bathrooms) was a greta find. It's really huge!! The location can not be better, close to everything and has great parking for a car. The service was very good. The inn is beautiful, with a very nice outdoor space to sit and sip a glass of wine and look at the sunset. Our daughter was very comfortable and so were we. The noise from the garbage collectors is not a big deal, it's a nice and quiet place most of the time. I would definitely stay there agai if we are ever back to Carmel. We also had a great breakfast at La Bicyclette. A great spot for any meal. Best meal in Carmel.

Room Tip: This room has no ocean view but is very comfortable for a large family, it's located behind the...
